*Dosage*
"Aaaaah" the man screamed in pain, he didn't expect her to be this strong and she had injured his back badly with her heels
"Hah, too easy, how can you men not be able to defeat a woman, and a princess at that" she joked before playfully widening her eyes
"Does that mean you also don't have back bones" she said and the men came at her at once but in a blink of an eye, Elaine grabbed the arm of the first one and hit his spine hard.
The second one came lunging at her cautiously with a sword, Elaine looked at him for a while and avoided his attack before hitting his elbow and he immediately fainted
She searched the faces of some of the assassin's and decided she liked the calculative skills of a few. She ended up paralyzing almost all of them and just put three of them to sleep. The other assassin's dragged their bodies away, because they couldn't walk. She had broken their legs
The ones she put to sleep finally woke up and looked at her in amazement.
"I didn't paralyze anyone of you because I admire your skills and I can assure you that if you become loyal to me I will reward you handsomely" she said and turned around to look hazel who had gotten up and was tidying herself up
"But there's a condition, you will all abandon your life of crimes and maybe I'll make you a guard for now" she said then took off her tiara
She stared at it for a while before throwing it to them without making eye contact
"Why us?" The man that caught it asked
"Because I like smart people, you were calculative before attacking me, with more practice you can all be stronger" she said
"But I don't like traitors" she said with a cold aura and they all decided if they were to work with the lady, not only would they become stronger but they would never have to do illegal things for money. Then out of the blue, one of the three men knelt before Elaine
"I, Micheal, swear an oath on my life to protect the princess and defeat her enemies" a man with red long hair and brown eyes said and the other two got down on their knees
"I, Nathan pledge to protect and defend the princess at the cost of my life" The second with blonde Bob hair and blue eyes said
"I, Stuart promise on my life to standby the princess as her elight and protect her from her enemies with my life" the third one that seemed to be the youngest said. He had black Raven hair like her husband but his hair was short but it matched his sapphire eyes
Elaine didn't speak anymore, she just walked to Halsey with concern written on her face
"Are you alright" she asked and Halsey nodded while looking at Elaine in awe
"You are so awesome your highness" she couldn't help but sayElaine looked around and saw all the injured guards
"Well, your group already hurt these guards, so you don't mind escorting us back do you?" She asked the men and they all stood up and nodded
"Stuart, stay behind and help them, Nathan and Micheal, you shall act as palace guards when we get to dystrya, the Royal family must not know what happened" she said seriously and they all nodded
"Your highness, the princess is the girl" Xavier said with widened eyes
"Perfect, let's go" Alexander said with a smirk
"Your highness, what about those men, we know who sent them" Xavier said
"Kevin" Alexander added and got into the carriage.
Xavier looked and saw how obediently they followed Elaine and he couldn't help but sigh.
Elaine got to the palace late and wasn't surprised that her family wasn't out to welcome her, they must be angry at her
She got into the palace and met her father in the hall. He looked at her in anger while sitting on his throne and her mom was right beside him
"Greetings father" Elaine bowed in respect and Halsey followed
The king stood up from his throne and approached the princess.
"Halsey wait outside and close the door" she said to her personal maid and Halsey did as she was told
Once Halsey left the king let out his anger on Elaine
"What is going on Elaine, is this the deal we made, I granted you your wish and now? Are you trying to revolt against me" the king said in anger
"No father, the truth is I didn't mean for it to happen, of course I planned something else to stop us consummating but he said he was tired and he already knew my plan" she tried to explain but at the next second
Slap!
She looked at her mom in disbelief. "How dare you lie to your own father, you little brat, I raised you like my own child after your mom died and yet you could lie to me that easily with no regret" the queen roared
"Mom, am sorry but I swear to you I am not lying" Elaine said with tears streaming down her eyes
"Oh yeah, then tell me, why isn't his highness here with you" she questioned and Elaine felt tongue tied
"Answer her!" Her dad yelled
"Well, he said he was tired" she stuttered and her mom let out a scoff
"Elaine, I think I've spoilt you too much" her mom said making Elaine realize the next punishment she would receive
She fell onto her knees and cried begging for forgiveness while her step mom called the maidens to bring Elaine's dosage
"No, mom please I can't go through that pain again" she begged looking at the scars on her palms
"But, you have to take your dosage dear, that way it would freshen your memories not to go against us" the queen said coldly
"Dad please" she begged her dad but he turned away from her
