Chereads / The Forensic's Daughter / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Linda doesn't have any enemies, she hardly even have a social life, so who would have the time to be doing this to her. Maybe it has something to do with her husband. He is a lawyer, maybe he pissed the wrong person off. She sat down with him later that night, he had no idea who it could be, But he did agree with her that maybe he had upset someone in the past. Though their family wasn't in danger, at this point, she feared it might get there eventually. For Linda, it was work and home. She preferred to spend time with her daughter and husband more than anyone else.

One day she received a video message on her phone. It was a video of a man standing on the ledge of a building. The message below it;

"figure out where he is, save him or have an extra body to examine , you have by 4 pm ."

It was 10am, she took the video to her boss and they had their best detectives on it. After 2 hours, she received a call,

"Ticktok Linda."

Right before they hang up, she heard a sound in the back ground and immediately knew what building it was. It took them a while to get there but they did. She managed to save someone, before they became the next victim. They took him in to question him, maybe if he could tell them what happened then they could figure out whats going on. Why would they allow her to find him and rescue him or maybe she figured it out faster than the caller expected. Nevertheless he was there, in the precinct.

"What is ur name?" asked detective Radavich

"Shaun" he replied .

"What happened shaun?"

"I left work last night got in my car and next thing I know I woke up in a room tied up."

"Did you see who it was ?"

" no they had a mask on the entire time."

Linda stood out side as she looked in and listened.

"Another dead end. But why allow me to save this man?"

so many things ran through her mind. She had so many unanswered questions.

"Do you know Linda Munro?" detective asked him.

"No I dont know who that is."

Nothing was connecting. Nothing was making sense, but at least she saved a life. Nakita was there, she was always there, just watching. She was so quiet. Its like you forget she's even there half the time. For some reaso, Linda knew something was off about all this but she just couldn't figure out what it was.
