Days had slowly passed as Yin Li felt dumbstruck at his current situation.
This was not a dream.
It appeared that he had been reincarnated.
It took a while for that to ultimately settle in Yin Li's mind.
He heard rumors about reincarnation a long time ago, but most of them turned out to be false in his life.
'What should I do? If I reincarnated, doesn't it mean I died in my previous life"
He shook his head, thinking about it. His family in his previous life would be sad if he had died, and he didn't want to leave them either.
Precious memories of his family started to roll through his mind.
He could still remember that time on his thirteenth birthday when his family tried to make a cake, failing horribly.
He also remembered when he fell off a scooter for the first time in his life before his mother healed his wounds by kissing them.
Yin Li's eyes started to well up as he felt much more vulnerable than before as a baby. He had loved them, and now he would never see them again.
His eyes were devoid of life, staring at the bleak sky.
He stared at the edge of the bed.
'Maybe I can be reincarnated again back to my old world if I perhaps die again.'
He bit his lip as he started to roll his body using all the strength that he had within him, not thinking about the consequences.
His lifeless eyes didn't blink as he rolled on the bed.
Just as he was about to roll off the bed, he heard a crying sound from right beside him.
It appeared to be the girl who was born at the same time as him, his supposed twin sister.
Yin Li guessed she probably woke up because of his crying. He looked over at the baby, staring back at him with her bright pink eyes.
The baby girl quickly stopped crying before a cute expression emerged on her face.
Yin Li felt as though his heart melted, staring at the adorable baby.
His eyes, devoid of life, flickered into a slight ember.
'What am I doing…?"
Yin Li thought as reason once again flowed through his mind.
If he had really died, how would his new mother feel?
Would she cry out each day, or would she not care at all?
How would his new twin sister feel after she grew up?
What would it be to be a sister with a dead sibling?
His mind wandered, thinking of all the possibilities and consequences.
Minutes if not hours, had passed as he delved into his mind.
He thought and thought, delving deeper and deeper.
After thinking for what felt like years, he took a deep breath, confirming his decision.
It took him a long time to make a significant decision that would affect him.
Reincarnation was rumored to happen only to those who were worthy. It was an extraordinary chance granted by the heavens.
He had been reincarnated and could do nothing about it.
He was fortunate enough to obtain another chance at living, something people wouldn't usually get.
He didn't know if this was the right decision but remembering the baby's adorable smile and his kind-looking mother at birth, he decided.
Since he had another shot at life, he would become strong enough to protect his new family this time to account for his previous life.
The ember in his eyes started to flicker as his previously lifeless eyes began to return to normal.
'I'm sorry, mother. I'm sorry you'll have to live without a son. I'm sorry big sister and little sister. I can't live with you guys anymore, nor will I ever see you again.'
Although he knew that he was never going to ever forget his previous family and the love that they had given him, recalling that baby's smile, Yin Li was now part of another family, a family that he planned to protect.
He had to account for what he had lost.
"I'm sorry, mother and sisters. I'll be leaving and trying to embrace this new world from now on."
It was going to be a rough journey.
He didn't know if he would survive, but he knew that he had to make the most out of this situation.
As though it was a wave of wind, he could feel the Qi in the air running towards him at high speeds before being absorbed into him using his cultivation technique.
He quickly broke through to Stage 2 Qi Practitioner Realm.
A slight smile could be seen on his face as Yin Li yawned before taking a huge nap with his drowsy eyes as a wave of fatigue hit him.
