WARNING: You are about to start down a long and dangerously steep path. A novel planned to span thousands of chapters, weaving a tale of violence and destruction, of conviction and strength, of camaraderie and perseverance. A perpetual roller coaster of emotions.
You have been told.
This novel is divided into Volumes, or 'Arcs'. Each of these volumes last around 200 chapters or so (give or take depending on the arc, pacing, story direction, etc).
The current volume, the one you're about to read, is POSSIBLY the lone exception to this rule as it expands 400+ chaps. It can be considered a prologue as it tracks Tsukahara's (the MC's) journey and progression, beginning from the time he was seven years old to the moment he turns twelve. In this way, you'll see how he grows and develops, becoming a force to be reckoned with, even as a mere child. It makes the novel far more believable and (probably?) enjoyable if you see for yourself how the main character turns out rather than just hearing about it or getting completely plagued with flashbacks.
Beyond the prologue, the story will become a multiple lead novel as the youths tale begins to fully unfold and more and more people begin to follow him. For one reason or another, others are attracted to his cause or his way of thinking or just because they wanted to.
If you don't mind stories that are slow paced, heavily detailed, and show the bloodier side of things, then go on and give it a look.
You might actually even like it. Who really knows though.
Because, like all things in life, its a risk you have to be willing to take.
