Patrick looked the opening of the Stormwalker as it marched through the forest, it's only been a day and a half since the lost of the U.S.S Liberator.
The Stormwalker was quick and very mobile since it was one of the Kaiser's greatest machines during the Great War.
Patrick only made a few stops at Allied Checkpoints notifying them of the lost of the Liberator. Each checkpoint had oil to spare for the Walker to continue it's march for Allied Command in Kiev.
The Allied Forces mad some victories against the Bolsheviks but battles in Volga River, St. Petersburg and the capital of the Soviets Moscow have lead to defeats which brought the war to a crawl.
While the Walker made it's way an shell came near it destroying the ground. This shook the Walker as Patrick steered the Walker out of dangerous when more shells came raining down.
Suddenly the sound of horses' hooves clopping near him as Patrick placed it in auto pilot taking a peek from the back. To his shock he's being chased by Red Calvary Unit armed with armor piercing lances.
If he's not careful those lances will pierce into the Walker and gab him.
Patrick regain control as he spun the Walker around causing the Calvary to ride around him, Patrick needs to act as if the Walker is filled with. crew.
Rushing to one of the machine guns, Patrick fires at the silhouettes unsure if he's hitting them or scaring them then he ran for the top machine gun using it as well.
Patrick manned the cannon firing it causing a few riders to be knocked off their horses. Luckily this gave him enough time to drive the Walker again just as the Calvary regain their monument and continue their chase.
"Come on! come on!" Patrick shouted to himself as the Walker kept pushing through the danger. Once he heard the clopping cease he figured he lost them.
However another shell went near him almost threw the Walker off it's course. Artillery stared firing at Patrick and the Walker.
"Oh great!" Patrick says then one of the legs get stuck into a ditch, Patrick tries to free it but to no avail.
It has to be manually dug out, Patrick drew his pistol and grabbed a shovel jumping out thanks to the lower hatch with a ladder.
Patrick dug where the foot is being stuck, using the shovel and trying to dig as quick as he can. He heard shouts from the Bolsheviks.
"Ходок здесь!" One of them armed with a rifle said just when a few of them some who were apart of the Calvary dismounted and ran down to attack the Walker.
"Shit!" Patrick cursed firing his pistol killing one of the Soldiers as they begin to fire upon forcing Patrick to duck behind one of the legs of the Walker.
Patrick return fire but his pistol can only do so much against their weapons. They were armed with rifles and a few Machine Guns and Patrick only had a Pistol, shovel and a knife.
He could hear them getting closer and ones that did Patrick fired his pistol into them only to take their rifle and ammo for his own.
Luckily their rifle aid Patrick during the fight which he was able to hit two Russian soldiers and headshot a third one.
But Patrick was still badly outnumbered, Patrick swallowed hard and tighten his grip on the rifle counting down his fate.
Then he heard a machine gun fire along with alot of screaming and shouts. Soon there was silence, Patrick fixed his glasses slowly standing up aiming his rifle.
Patrick look upon a German soldier in his uniform with a long coat to it. He had black hair and blue eyes, his skin was a little pale compared to Patrick.
He had a shovel attached his side with grenades, a C96 Mauser Pistol and he was holding the MP 20 a late submachine gun which was made after it's twin the MP 18, as the weapon carried a drum mag but instead being stick in the side it was underneath for better stability.
He turned to face Patrick as Patrick held rifle tightly and aim at him out of fear to which the German aim his weapon back at him.
They stood staring at each other waiting for the other to fire first.
While Germany is suppose to be among the Allies during the Intervention right now some if not most of the German troops who are veterans of the Great War still harbor anger for their defeat and their Empire being split.
Patrick was the first to lower his rifle which the German did as well. "H-Hello?....English? you speak it?" Patrick asked.
"Ja...." He says slowly making his way down to Patrick, "Karl Ludwig I'm a Sturmtruppen...Mein unit was wiped half an hour ago..." He says.
"Patrick...U.S. Mech Pilot" He says saluting, Karl looked at the Stormwalker and let out annoyed groan.
"It's stuck Ja?" He asked, "Yes it is can you help?" Patrick asked to which Karl sighed and drew his shovel as the two begin digging to get the Walker out.
"So...If you don't mind me asking what's your story?" Patrick asks unscrewing his canteen handing it to Karl who took a sip and handed it back.
"I served in the Eastern Front of the Great War so I know how to fight Russians...As a Sturmtruppen my name is my skill Ja? I'm a tasked with clearing out Trenches from enemy, when Russia sued to peace we were brought to the Western Front but I was told to return to Hamburg and the next thing I know the war is over and zhe Kaiser steps down" He says.
"Well I'm on my way to Kiev to notify Command of Russian Zeppelins" He says, "Zeppelin? the Bolshevik dogs have a Zeppelin?" Karl groaned in annoyance rubbing his eyes then he joined Patrick inside of the Walker.
Patrick begin driving it while Karl sat down, "How long til we hit Kiev?" He asked.
"Not sure actually but there's a massive Allied line holding back any attack from Serbia so we need to go through..."
Patrick grabbed a map and begin to check "Through the 67th line into the Ukraine Republic heh it's funny the country was just born and we're using it as a Command post"
