Tom stood back up and walked up to me, narrowing his eyes.
"If you are taking her, then you had better take care of her. Annie has always been a bit different, but… she has changed since she met you. There has always been a large gap between us, but you somehow built a bridge between us. Now you are telling me that you have to take her away from me. Just hard to stomach," Tom said, eyes locked with mine.
"That should be the thing that puts a smile on your face. You should know that I am the best thing for this girl. Something is connecting me to these three girls, but I don't know what it is yet. Regardless, I will use every ounce of my strength and power to protect them," I said, burning that into my own soul as my most important mission.
Suddenly, Gniwonk Lla changed slightly; his eyes crusted over with black, and cracks formed, filling with red. Nothing else was different, and my shade didn't react, so I never reacted or said anything.
