"There are female assassins; it is just the name that the founders gave it. If you were there, you could complain, but that was over one thousand years ago. It is possible that we can go back there, but I don't know if we can change things in the past," I explained, and Annie sighed with a smile.

"Not like it matters if no one ever knows your name," Annie said, and I nodded but wiggled my hand.

"There is a fine balance with an assassin, just like a spy. You need to keep up a public image, even if it's just something regular. That is part of how you keep yourself safe. During the day, we act as we do now, but during the night, we remove evil," I explained.

"How do you know if something is evil?" Annie asked, but I patted her head.

"Enough for now. We can talk more tonight when we are in the Mirror Realm. Let's go and see your dad, and let me try to calm him down," I said, and Annie nodded but then gave me a serious look.
