Once I had what Jin could offer me and my letter, I parted ways with the apothecary. I did not expect to see some like him in a place like this, but the Brothers of the Cloth tended to have people stationed all over.
I left the shop with the things that I had bought inside one of the inventory bags that was inside of the one at my side. I didn't think I would have to worry about someone looking through my stuff, but it was better safe than sorry.
Walking back to the inn, people smiled, nodded, and some of them even waved in recognition. A small part of me felt sore about having to leave this place, but I knew that I wouldn't have been able to stay forever.
I wasn't even part of this world, I was one of its caretakers, but something had gone wrong. I didn't understand half of what I should do about this situation, but I would have to figure it out.
