"We have to start making our way across the continent much faster than I had originally planned. I have already told Annie, and I expect that she will be coming down here soon to tell you all about it. She asked that we wait until sundown, so I suggest that you all spend some time with her. This will be the last time you see her for a very long time, if you ever see her again," I explained.
Tom and John blinked at me with confused looks, and then Tom got an angry look on his face.
"What do you mean that we might never see her again?! Does that mean that you all might die?!" Tom roared.
"That is not what he means, father, but there is a chance that we could die along the way. I will tell you all about it later, but this is my choice," Annie said from across the room as she walked over with Jessel and Tracy.
"You think that I am just going to be okay with all of this?!" Tom complained.
