Chapter 63 - Packed Like Nuts

I pulled back slowly from Jessel, and she blushed, pulling back from me. She turned her head, putting the fingers of one hand up to her lips.

"I will let you finish eating. I gotta get downstairs and find John," I said as I started to get up.

"You are really weird," Jessel said, pulling her hand back as she turned to look up at me.

"I get that more than I would like, but I will take that as a compliment from you," I smiled, and Jessel chuckled as she picked up her plate.

I headed out of the room, leaving Jessel to eat, but I was still trying to decide what tale to tell. It wasn't like I hadn't been on countless adventures, but I had over-prepared for almost all of them.

I was worried that most of my adventures would be very anti-climatic, so I was wracking my brain. The sounds of people laughing and talking started getting louder as I reached the stairs and sighed.
