On the other side was the teardrop of the emblem on the other side of the T, and under it was a tally of: Two million, fifty-six hundred thousand, seven hundred and thirty-two tally marks on it with a timer above it that showed 23:58:56 and it started to count down.
As the Obsidian Dome reached past her, but still had a few more levels to go before it reached the roof, a female voice was heard from all around the Shield City and was loud enough to catch the attention of all of the monsters within a fifty mile radius.
LET THE GAME BEGIN!!!!!!!
********
The Beast had stood up and laid a single paw up on the stage when the Dwarf had panicked and popped into the ground, just as the Beast's muzzle breached the platform did it whimper in sadness. Its Prey had disappeared. The ground shocked and rippled outwards as it changed colors to a dark purple stone and shot up the spaced walls making a reversed dome bowl trapping the Beast ... or so the Dwarf had hope...
Death Mist has been leaking out around its skin as it took fully awakened breaths, increasing the amount of Death in the air.
"LET THE GAME BEGIN!"
A female voice sounded loudly to where those who had been encased in Obsidian could hear it Clearly... as well as the monsters outside of the City, for Fifty Miles, became enraged and rushed in the direction of the voice.
The beast stood tall on all four legs as it looked at the increasing height of the revered dome. Atop it, it saw meat! Oh Glorious Meat! That was just sitting there with no weapons or claws or poison! Perfect to eat without hassle or distraction! And boy was he hungry!
:Master gave me a Chance to Eat My Fill!! I Will Not Waste It!: The Beast told itself as it stretched backwards then forwards warming up its muscles before crouching its hind legs and bringing out its front Bedrock hard Claws.
The Terror of some of the Meats' made it enjoy his task even more as those that moved showed red in his eyes... and those that stayed still disappeared from his view.
Launching forwards over the stage he pushed off with extreme force and got to the top rather quickly in the blink of an eye. In a minute it was down below! The next second it was munching on students, rather quickly, and was going up through the entire rows very fast! Those that it had passed dared not to move for the Smell of Death still lingered after it had moved away.
Reaching the top of the Stadium as it saw no more food, he looked outwards and saw the bustling City still moving without a care in the world! It let out a roar that echoed with darkened mist flowing out of the stadium at a rapid pace killing any and all living breathing things as it moved with the wind flow.
ROOOAAARRR!
"BEAST DETECTED! BEAST DETECTED! ALL FIGHTERS TO THE SHIELD! HOARD IS APPROACHING! HOARD IS APPROACHING! CIVILIANS RUN TO THE STADIUM FOR SHELTER! RUN TO THE STADIUM FOR SHELTER NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!" A mechanical voice rang out as the shields turned from safe blue to warning red and the streets became lit up with arrows leading the way to the stadium where the Death Mist had become a Fog.
"What is THAT?!"
Some exclaimed as their destination was surrounded in Darkness.
"Must be a new Safety Measure! Quickly Hide in the Darkness Before The Monsters Breach The Walls!!"
Some exclaimed in hope and darted in quickly, their breathing quickened as fear settled in their bones. For each breath they took... they lost their stamina, their bone and muscle mass, some became brittle and old and collapsed as they died farther in to where none could see the dead bodies and still ran in blindly with the hope that they will survive the horde that were attaching the walls behind them.
With each person that died, a Tally Mark would appear on the scoreboard that the Priestess was constantly watching fill up rather quickly... Looking up at the time it showed 19:58:32... Only three-four hours had passed, and on the Goddesses side was almost one-fifth full of Tallies on her side.
:MUAHAHAHA!!! LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER!!: The Goddess' voice echoed around the pale elf as the foolish ones ran into the mist, while the few who watched the promotional videos or have played games watched the others not notice the faint outline of a beast prowling in the mist. The outline of the Best got closer to some but ignored them while they stood still, but lunged at those who had moved. It was creating wisps of smoke that extended outside of the misty fog that looked like black tentacles extending out and snatching people who had no chance to cry out. Once the outline had moved away did the few who stayed still dared to move, but as soon as they felt any gaze on them or in their direction they froze, Like an extreme game of Red light Green Light.
:OH! SOME ARE ACTUALLY SMART! IF THEY SURVIVE I WILL GIVE THEM THE SKILL OF THE WEEPING ANGELS!: The Goddess spoke and at which the elf entered the prayer trance and became a specter next to the Goddess as she wanted to ask some questions.
:Why our settlement, my Goddess?: She asked with her hood on, :Surely you would get more entertainment from the other Cities?:
:OH DEAR CHILD!: The Goddess's voice carried a hint of sadness as the giant female looked down at the small being. Picking her up gently and stroking the side of her face with a fingertip replied softly, :THERE ARE NO MORE CITIES TO CLAIM! AND I NEED THE DEATH ENERGY TO BE ABLE TO SEND YOU TO THE ALL MAKER IN ONE PIECE FOR THIS WORLD IS GOING TO BE RESET! BUT DON'T WORRY THOSE WHO SURVIVE WILL BE GIVEN BETTER LUCK AND LIVES TO LIVE!: The Goddess responded with more sadness weighing her voice heavy as the small being slowly came to terms that her City was The Last City on the planet.
Hoping in her heart that those who stayed Frozen would survive and have the Chance to live a better life once this was all over... Looking at the time she saw 10:43:88 only nine hours had passed since she entered the Goddesses Realm.
The Goddess took a peak at the small Priestess and could feel the sorrowful hope that she unknowingly showed.
Her favorite subject and the pride of the shadows... she couldn't let her suffer like this... even if... it was an order from Father!
She decided that if the Death Toll was double or tripled the amount of those still alive, that she would grant that many extra wishes for her vessel! She was already planning on using the rest of her saved up Power Points before the Reset to give this little hope of hers as many powers that it would allow...
Hopefully Father doesn't get mad about her choice for the minor-god-selection of the new Game he decided to make as a testing ground before the war to come…
