When Bina found out she was having kids, she was told that she was having twins. This of course excited Grayson and Bina. They spent the rest of Bina's pregnancy preparing for two children. Neither parent knew the genders of the soon-to-be children, so everything was gray. Grayson did not mind this fact. Gray shirts, gray shoes, gray pants, anything you can think of was gray.
You can imagine the surprise and despair of the parents when one child was miscarried. The surviving twin, who was dubbed Oliver Stone, filled the hole in both parents' hearts. Ever since Oliver was born, he had always been an angelic child, which made his parent's lives multiple times easier than other parents. Oliver never cried, unless fed pork. He never complained, he never asked for stuff from the store like other kids, and he never disobeyed his parents.
By the time Oliver was five, he finally understood the importance of losing a child, especially to a parent. It was then that Oliver decided he would live for both him and his unborn twin; trying twice as hard at everything to make up for it. Oliver tried very hard to become everything his parents wanted him to become. Sometimes his goal was accomplished, sometimes it wasn't, which made Oliver very sad, as he was a major people pleaser.
When Oliver was 12, he had a short interest in astronomy for a while. He was fascinated by the idea of life, curious to know if it existed outside of planet earth. Curious and willing to learn, Oliver started checking out books from the local library about life and space. Not long after, Oliver's knowledge of the human lifeform, along with most life on earth, had expanded greatly.
It was also around this age that Oliver joined his school's wrestling team. At first, his father had forced him into the sport, but as time passed he came to enjoy the sport, even staying after to get extra pointers from his coaches. Oliver slowly but surely became one of the best wrestlers on the team.
All of Oliver's grandparents had passed before he could remember, but he had heard many stories about them. His grandfather was the one who started the Stone family business, selling cars. This business was taken over by Grayson, who expanded the business to multiple locations. Due to this business, the Stone family was by no means low on money.
When Oliver was 14, he got lost one night while riding his bike home after taking a wrong turn. He stopped in a local park and went to sleep by a tree. When he woke up, he opened his eyes to see a blonde boy climbing the tree above him. Coincidently, this boy fell from the tree just as Oliver woke up.
The boy fell directly on Oliver's sacred sac. The ensuing words that came from Oliver's mouth at this moment were some he didn't even know he knew. As Oliver was writhing in pain on the ground while spewing atrocities, the boy stood up as if nothing had happened. He turned to look at Oliver and said, "Sorry about that, didn't see you there. My name is Gabe Moon." Oliver's reply to this was a long series of moans. Gabe proceeded to squat down to the left of Oliver and said, "You ok buddy?" What followed was an even longer string of moans with some profanic words mixed in from Oliver. From this day forth, Oliver always wore an athletic cup, and a new friendship was born.
The next day, Oliver brought his new friend, Gabe, to meet his parents. Oliver had grown fond of Gabe very quickly, so much so that he was able to introduce Gabe to his family without worries. This was a poor choice on Oliver's part, though.
"Dad, this is Gabe. Gabe, this is my father, Grayson." Oliver said. Oliver was worried. Who wouldn't be while introducing a new friend to anyone who plays a major role in your life? Luckily, Gabe responded acceptably. "Hello, Mr. Stone. It's my pleasure to meet you." Gabe responded politely.
"The pleasure is mine, kid. I'm Just glad Oliver made a friend! I was starting to suspect him of being socially inept." Grayson spoke as he ate a girthy radish. Oliver's thoughts immediately calmed as he observed this interaction going smoothly. Unfortunately for him, Gabe's next words were like a punch to the gut for poor Oliver.
"Oh my, what a pretty young lady we have here!" Gabe said while directing his gaze to Bina.
Bina, who had just come out of the bathroom to find an unfamiliar boy in their home, had naturally heard the comment. Bina sat in silence for what seemed to be a full minute before responding.
