"What took you so long, bro?" Joseph curiously asked when he saw Carter walking closer in their direction.
"I got lost on my way," Carter simply shrugged his shoulder as he took a seat on the available chair.
Joseph laughed loudly. "I told you that we shouldn't leave you!" the man joked around.
"Yap. I thought I can do it alone. But the good thing was I bought the paper that I needed." Carter grinned and showed the paper in his hands.
Dandrik chuckled on the side. "Let's eat now before the food gets cold."
Carter nodded as everyone agreed with what Dandrik suggested. He placed the paper in his inventory and ate silently. He had no plans of telling the others about his sudden level up. Thankfully, the old man was kind enough to give him something to cover it up.
"We should try the group dungeon once it's available," Lucas suggested when he remembered the announcement from earlier.
Ciara and Angela nodded at what the man had stated.
"We can try to do that!" Angela smiled widely. She secretly glanced over at Carter, who was eating silently on the side.
Her cheeks reddened when she saw how good-looking the man was. Carter has a mixture of soft and rough features. He looks like those charming men in movies that can get any girls that he wanted.
"That's a good idea! You can get to see me how I skillfully fight," Joseph boasted, which made them laugh.
"You fool. Just eat your dinner," Dandrik lightly smacked the man's head.
Joseph made a teasing face. He giggled when Dandrik glared at him and continued his dinner.
"You seemed quiet, Carter," Dandrik, who was the first one to notice, asked.
Carter lightly smiled and shook his head. "I was just regretting the fact that I didn't play with the lucky wheel. I was wondering what if I did it?" He answered simply to avoid doubts.
Joseph nodded. "That's because you're thrifty! You should have fun next time. Who knows, you might get lucky, right?" The man wiggled his brows before taking a bite of his food.
The 8 of them were inside a restaurant. The walls were made out of wood and the inside was big enough to serve around a hundred customers. There were other players eating peacefully too.
It was a good thing that they still haven't encountered a lot of assholes in the game except for those 3 men that picked a fight with them. Everything seemed to be peaceful, but Carter knew that this wouldn't last long.
He was sure that once the update takes place in 2 weeks, a lot of players would try to invite some players who were a level lower than them in a duel. Since their rankings were publicized, players could easily know who was below them.
Carter looked back at the rankings. DarkVenom, SharpPoint, and Wisee were currently on the top 3. He scrolled down when his eyes found a familiar name.
'PeterPack… isn't this the one that we saw in the street fight?' He asked himself. On the side was the number #57. 'No wonder why he was level 5 that time.' he thought. Now he was wondering what was the level of those on the top 10.
He couldn't wait to find out about it.

After eating their dinner earlier, it took them roughly 3 hours before they arrived in Crushed Valley. They went straight to their respective room and decided to rest for the meantime.
The three of them already agreed to set out very early tomorrow. They plan to strengthen themselves so they can level up faster. Since he knew Joseph's Main Quest, Carter can use this as an excuse for his Main Quest.
