Kez strode toward a large ornate door with Saiyi in tow. The chamber was smaller and more sedate than the entrance, but still relatively grand in scale. On the opposite end was alarge ornate door.
"Throne room." Kez pointed at the door with a thumb and proceded to turn toward a smaller door to the one side. This led them down a corridor and eventually Kez stopped infront of a rather plain looking door. He knocked twice and opened it.
"Come on." He beconed as he entered.
Saiyi entered the room. It was ligned with books and written pages. In the center of the room was a large desk. It was made of a material Saiyi did not recognise. At the desk sat a woman. She was older than Saiyi, but still looked quite young. Her hair was kept short and was blonde like Saiyi. She had pleasant soft features. She stood with a warm smile to both Kez and Saiyi. Around her neck was an amulet also. It's gem a bright red.
"Love!" She proclaimed as she embraced Kez Visat. This normality of the Gods still threw Saiyi. The scene would not be out of place in a home of her town. Yet these were beings of legend.
"Shiwa, my dear, this is Saiyi. Just yesterday she was chosen by Mother herself."
"Well now. That's a rare sight. I'm a bit jealous." Shiwa said, winking at Saiyi, who in turn could not help but giggle.
The two deities continued in the island language for a bit. From their body language Saiyi was almost glad she couldn't understand what they were saying, but it made her blush regardless. Then Kez turned to Saiyi.
"You'll be in safe hands here. Now ladies you must excuse me, but I have been away from Thay for nearly a full day." With a peck to Shiwa, the large man left and Saiyi was alone with Shiwa the Healer.
"I imagine you must have had quite a day little one. Let's get you comfortable. If you want you are more than welcome to stay as long as you want."
"Thank you my lady." Saiyi had no idea how to address these figures of legend yet.
"Please call me Shi. This is going to be fun. You can imagine I don't get to do a lot of girl stuff."
Saiyi herself did not quite know what girl stuff was either.
"You must have so many questions. Would you like something to eat?"
"No thank you. I have not been hungry since…"
"Ofcourse not. But eating is good for the soul also. Let me show you to a room. You can clean and dress and then we'll have lunch and chat."
"That sounds amazing. Thank you." Saiyi said with a bow. Shiwa scoffed.
"Come on. You're funny. Too formal but clearly a sweet girl. We'll be close friends yet, you'll see."
What was left of the morning Shiwa spent helping Saiyi settle. First she had to teach her how a shower worked. Saiyi hated it at first. It seemed like a waste of water. After she felt refreshed and reconsidered her position. Shi helped her pick out an island appropriate outfit and they spent time getting Saiyi's hair in a new style without the use of her power. All the while Saiyi was warming up to Shiwa. She was warm and friendly and treated Saiyi like an equal or even a friend.
Once they had done they moved to an outside section of the tower. Saiyi felt the previous days had finally been cleaned from her. She felt refreshed and relaxed. The breeze atop the tower in the pleasant noon sun was the perfect blend. By the time lunch was served Saiyi and Shi were joking and laughing together as old friends. Saiyi was amazed that someone like Shiwa could be so normal.
"You would love Zeeri. She's a tough one." Saiyi said in ernest.
"I would like that. When you visit your home I would love to accompany you."
The mention of visiting her home braught tears of joy to Saiyi's eyes. She was overjoyed that they would be in reach.
"Thank you Shi. I was terrified when I arrived."
"I would be shocked if you weren't. I am not so old that I don't remember when I first joined the Chosen." Shiwa took Saiyi's hand across the table.
"I promise you that you'll become accustomed to it all. And once you can fly you can go visit when you like."
"Flying. I mean, isn't that ridiculous?"
"Completely. But it's also the most fun you can have with your clothes on." A wink and a sly smile. Saiyi blushed.
"Shiwa, behave."
"Don't want to, don't have to." Saiyi stared at the Goddess across the table and felt immediately at home. She realised her friends back home would be perfectly comfortable at the table. Not just comfortable but quite welcome. She raised a glass of the purest water she had ever had. Shiwa raised her wine glass.
"To my new friend Shiwa, Goddess of Hagoa and dirty thoughts."
"I may add that to my official title."
"All of this is so weird."
"Hold on to your braids, it get's weirder." Shi assured her with a clink of glass and a wink. "Once you are settled we'll start your training. You're going to be the breath of fresh air Cyla needs."
"I will do my best."
"Then you will change the world."
They stayed on the balcony until the sun set talking and joking. The food and drink was unlike anything Saiyi had had before, but the company was Saiyi's favourite part. She had been apprehensive that morning, now she felt like she could find a place here in the sky.
