Mitchell chose not to worry about Thalia's words, and was confused when he didn't bring her back to the residence where Thalia had been living with Dastan.
He actually took Thalia to an airstrip where he deliberately rented a private plane to take Thalia and her granddaughter out of Birmingham, and go to a place where no one knew Thalia and her daughter.
"Father, why are we here? Where's Dastan? Didn't he say he would come and take me and our child away?"
Thalia just put Haila-her granddaughter, on the car seat and tried to open the door. Luckily, Thalia was accompanied by a nurse and two of Mitchell's men, who immediately took action to hold Haila, and kept the baby away from her mother.
