It was finally time for Gem Redriver (a.k.a. Ruby) to give the exam to enter the secret government high school.
Standing infront of the school gate with determination and fire in her heart, she knew she was ready to take on the challenge. With the help of Sumac and Ivy, she knew she couldn't lose. The school had an dark aura around it but Gem wasn't afraid because she was read-
" Just go in already brat, you've been Standing and starting at the gate for 5 minutes now. "
said Su with aggression.
" Don't interfere with my epic story uncle Su." Said Gem and continued looking at the gate.
As the challenge arrived infront of he-
" Just go in you stupid brat! " Said Su and pushed Gem in the school.
Gem stepped into the school area.
Just ahead the school gate was a board containing names of the participants and where their exam will be conducted.
Student number 007, Gem Redriver, Underground facility area 13.
Gem reads the info with the rules for the exam which were on the board as well
[Rule 1 You can't blame the school for anything
Rule 2 Only worry about winning
Rule 3 Killing is not totally prohibited
Rule 4 Not to break anything belonging to school
Rule 5 Fighting among students is banned
Rule 6 Attacking any teacher or staff is banned
Rule 7 No leaving the campus until results come]
" what kind of rules are these? " said Gem and went towards the school building.
Gem was going in the building without realizing that she don't know where the underground facility area 13 is.
she reached the hallway of the school. she turned right, she turned left but she couldn't find her way so she kept going forward.
On her way, a guard spots her.
" Excuse me little miss, where are you going? " the guard asked.
" Do you mean me? I'm going to give the exam. "
" But the way you are going is the meeting room, and I don't remember any exam taking place there. "
" Oooh! I guess I came the wrong way then. "
" By any chance are you lost little Miss? "
" I don't think so. "
" Do you know the way to your exam room? "
" Nope. "
" Do you know the which way you came from. "
" Nope. "
" Are you sure you aren't lost. "
" yess. "
" ohk... YOU ARE COMPLETELY LOST!!!. "
" Haaa!! I'm lost!!! " said Gem and started crying.
" Little miss don't cry, if someone saw you crying they'll think I made you cry. "
" But I'm looost!!! I'll never reach the exam room!!! I'll be a failure!!! "
" Tell me the name of your room and I'll take you there. "
" really!!? "
" Yaa. "
" My room is Underground facility area 13. "
" Wha- I mean ya let's go. "
The guard showed her the way and gem followed him.
" You must be very special little miss to have exam in the Underground facility and that too in area 13. "
" What's special about it? "
" It's special because only chosen few are tested there. "
" Why only chosen few. "
" Underground facility was made as an experimental facility to test and scope out young talents, the people who came from those always end up becoming big names, so the facility was turned from experimental facility to a permanent testing facility. It is divided into 19 total areas with 10 Underground floors. "
" Oooo, it's that cool huh. "
" the 10 floors each contains 2 areas with the last floor only containing 1 area which is area 19. The area 19 would probably be called the best and the most dangerous area, but in last 25 years area 13 has produced 2 monsters which were remained unrivaled throughout the history. "
" Woooow!!? Really!!? "
" Yes! Area 13 is where recommended or scouted students are tested. I guess you must be recommended since if you were scouted by the governments, an agent would have arrived to pick you up by now. "
" I don't know, my uncle did everything. "
" Your uncle must have pulled some strings to have you here, he must be really amazing. "
" Yaa! My uncle is an amazing person, but who were these 2 monsters you were talking about. "
" The 2 monsters that came from area 13 were the only 2 SSS Rank Assassins in all of history. The first SSS Rank Assassin Code Name Devil, and the second SSS Rank Assassin Code Name Poison. "
" There were 2 SSS Rank Assassins!!? "
" Yaaa, you'll probably learn about them in this school if you pass the exam. "

" sorry little miss but we've reached the underground facility area 13, good luck for the Exam, I hope you pass. " said the guard and left
" That guard seemed suspicious but also kind. "
said Gem and went inside area 13.
She saw only handful of students were present in the room with no teacher around. The room was huge with several different types of weapon hanging on the sides, few ropes and some nails.
A teacher with pretty decent body and a plain face came in with a stick in his hand.
" Hello students, I'm the one who'll be judging you today, I'm Taka Raunch an ex S rank spy. Don't get nervous and do your best. "
" Yes Sir!. " said everyone loudly
" What is our exam sir. " said one of the curious students
" Your exam today is... a surprise" said the teacher and looked at the door while saying " Hey guys! You can come in now! "
Some gaurds entered with few prisoners tied and blindfolded.
" You see this prisoners. " asked the teachers.
" Yes we see them. " said the students.
" These prisoners are sentenced to death, you will have to fight and kill them in order to pass the test, they are in pretty bad condition so killing them won't be much trouble but they will fight back too so be prepared. "
The students started looking terrified by what the teacher just told them, they were in no shape to fight and full grown adult who had criminal record soo bad that they were sentence to death. Honestly the chances of surving against any of those prisoners were as low as 9.99 percent.
Where all the students were scared Gem was looking rather happy.
" Hey kid, are you Okey in the mind, why are you smiling like that? " the teacher asked Gem.
" Before this, I was worried what kind of exam it is and I wasn't sure if I would even pass it but now I feel like now I have a chance to get into the school. "
" There goes the over confident kid, why do these kids have to come every year, don't they know how to measure their own strength, there is no way a kid can beat any of the prisoners, we are just gonna let them fight and see how much potential the kid have and then gaurds will stop and kill the prisoners. " thought the teacher in his mind.
" If you are so sure then would you like to go first? " said the teacher and thought " Yaa she'll go first and get beaten in no time, at least she'll be able to teach other students that over confidence is not a good thing. "
" Yess Mr teacher, I'll go first. " said Gem with a happy face and went infront of the prisoner.
The Gaurds pulled the blindfold off the prisoner and untied him.
" Prisoner number 5859, Name: Gogo Zom, crime committed: murder of an innocent family, reason:no reason at all, is that correct? " asked one of the gaurds
" Yes that me. " replies Gogo Zom.
" You will be fighting this kid here, if you win, your death penalty will be lifted and you will be free, but if you lose you die, do you want to accept this fight. "
" Do I have any other choice, I'm not in a mood to kill someone now. "
" You don't have any other choice, either you fight her and stay alive or die. "
" Then I'll choose to live. " said Gogo with a sinister smile.
Gogo walked towards Gem with hear up high and overwhelming amount of confidence.
" Sorry kid but I guess I'll have to kill you ha ha. " said Gogo
Gem looked straight in Gogo's eyes and started walking towards him.
" Oh! you are approaching me? " said Gogo with a confident voice and scary face
" I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer. " said Gem without a hint of fear.
" And where did you learn to talk like that. " asked the teacher.
" A guy from one of my big sis's books said that line, I thought these was the perfect time to use that line. " said Gem
" There she goes again, is she do confident that she is thinking of a story book when there is a literal murderer standing infront of her. " thought the teacher.
Gem and Gogo were standing infront of each other. Compared to Gem, Gogo was as huge as an elephant and compared to Gogo, Gem was as small as an ant. The fight is not always about the size since with knowing right moves even an ant can defeat an elephant but the size difference was a bit too much between Gem and Gogo.
The gaurds were ready to stop Gogo as soon as he attacks since they don't think Gem will be able to handle Gogo.
Teacher gives the signal and the fight starts.
Gogo starts attacking by swinging his hands trying to catch Gem and end it. At that moment Gem remembered somthing similar happening in the past. She remembered her fight with the bear. The bear used his big hands and claws to pin her down and she knew if she is pinned down there is not much she can do and unlike bear, going after a humans eyes is much harder.
" Listen brat, to make sure you don't get pinned down you'll have to..." Gem heard Su's voice in her head
the attack came toward Gem, without fear she started dancing and dodged every attack by spining and moving.
" Whaat!!? I should dance? " Gem started to remember her traing.
" Do as I say and you'll never lose. "
" But why dance, don't you know any other methods. "
" I do know but this one is the one that suits you, plus it's better not to learn a lot of high level martial arts. "
" Why? "
" knowing any high level martial arts will help you go a lot higher in the school but the teacher and staff might become suspicious and try to dig up your past. "
" I see, then I'll start practicing dancing. "
" Thank God you finally understood how to listen to your elders. "
Gem kept dodging each and every attack of Gogo as it was nothing
" Good thing that I listened to Uncle Su. " she thought to herself.
The teacher, The students, The gaurds, all of them were in an awe to see her dodge everything.
slowly and steady she started to return the attacks too, she started attacking Gogo. Even though her attack wasn't doing much but it did manage to boost the morale of the students present there, they were quite unsure how are they gonna survive fighting someone who is many times the size of them, but seeing Gem not only surviving but also holding her own against the prisoners gave students the hope they wanted.
The teacher was also moved. All he wanted was to see a small arrogant kid getting crushed but to see such a small kid fighting someone soo big equally was something out of the blue of him as well.
" Area 13 never stops surprising me. " said the teacher
" What do you mean sir? " asked one of the gaurds.
" What do I mean? I mean that we are seeing history being created. Devil was an prodigy and Poison was clever but this girl, this girl is not a prodigy and by how she acts I don't think she is smart either but she has somthing that those 2 didn't had. "
" Something those 2 didn't had? what is it? "
" I might be completely wrong but by the looks in his eyes I can see it. The thing she has that the other 2 didn't had is desire to kill. Her eyes are the same as the Gogo. "
