During the journey, the 3 adventurer start talking about why they are trying to kill the gods.
"So why are you trying to slay gods ? what's your purpose" Jaliel asked.
"I don't think i have a choice" Light answers.
"No? Why?" Jaliel asks.
"Because i have slain A god already, actually two of them, and i apparently am now a danger to them" he replies.
"Can't you just tell them that they were just illusions and you didn't mean any harm ?" Jaliel asks.
"They are gods, and this lance already bring attention to me, besides, even if they believed me, my actions would still remain unforgivable."
"If you had been raised as a human, none of this would be happening, you would have never known the existence of gods, and you wouldn't be in this situation" Jaliel says.
"Are Angels raised differently ?" asks Light.
"Yes, since they are the most powerful species, they are given a lot of freedom and they tend to develop their own philosophies" Jaliel answers.
"Really, do you know how to use magic ?" Light asks.
"Not directly, but i can through this curse" Jaliel answers.
"What do you mean ?" Mephilesto asks.
"There is a permanent layer of ice around me, it prevents me from flying, i can only think it by detaching it, like shedding my skin" Jaliel explains.
"Why don't you just melt it?" Mephilesto asks.
"It's not melting, it's transforming into ordinary ice, the transformation takes a lot of energy and is fairly dangerous, but that's exactly how i use my ''magic''."
"So you can't stop it, it's always there?" Mephilesto asks.
"No, i can change its form, and sometimes i can move it to another part of my body, but there is alaways ice around me" Jaliel says.
"What kind of weapon are you using" asks Light.
"Just this axe, i otherwise just need my curse to overwhelm my opponent" Jaliel answers.
"But why are you here, what made you travel all the way to this island" Light asks.
"I was told that the Gods lived here, and i wanted to meet one, the winter god, he cursed me with this ice and i intend on slaying him to get the curse to stop" Jaliel answers.
"Why would you want to kill a god ?" Light asks.
"Because i love to die" Jaliel sarcastically answers.
the three begin to chuckle
"What about you mephi...gesture ?" Jaliel asks.
"Mephilesto, my name is Mephilesto" Mephilesto answers. "I was kind of dragged by Light, i was held captive by the spring god, and i well understood that gods are just the scourge upon this world. I figured that i could also find my father along the way" Mephilesto replies.
"Your father is a god ?" Jaliel asks.
"I don't know, i've never met him, i suppose he could be an evil god since i'm half demon and my mother was human..." Mephilesto says, while jokingly shrugging.
"You're a half-demon, i'm a half-angel and we have nothing in common, besides our mutual dislike of our parent's gods" Jaliel says.
"You forgot me" Light adds.
"Oh, right, sorry..." Mephilesto says.
"Yeah, thanks for remembering" Light laughs.
"We're quite an unusual group, a half demon, a half angel, and a half beast" Jaliel says.
"I'm human" Light says.
"You're covered in scales ..." Jaliel says.
"I was just ... cursed by the spring god" Light says.
"Curses wear off as soon as the person who cursed dies" Jaliel answers.
"You mean that transforming into a half-beast is no curse ?" Light replies.
"You're stronger and faster, how would that be a curse" Jaliel answers.
"I'm ugly" Light says.
"It's not your face that makes you ugly, it's your attitude, but yes theses scales of yours are repulsive" Jaliel says.
"What can i do about it ?" Light shrugs.
"Nothing, you may be able to hide it using magic but becoming a halfbeast doesnt make you any more apt to use magic" Mephilesto says.
"If the spring god did want me dead so bad, why hasn't he tried to kill me faster ?!" Light asks.
"Gods are arrogant, they don't fear mortals, you may not realise how much of an achievement killing a god is, let alone two of them" Mephilesto answers.
"Why didn't the spring god try to attack me in her bath ?" Light adds.
"To simply put it, she was having fun with you." Jaliel answers.
"No, i think this is more serious than that" Mephilesto answers.
"She wanted to fuck me, wasn't it obvious ?!" Light asks.
"Gods live much longer than Living beings, i wouldn't be surprised by them practising necrophilia" Jaliel answers.
"Come on ... i'm not like that" Mephiles adds.
"So is this your first time? You really need to learn to take charge of the situation instead of being passive and letting a goddess fuck you !" Mephilesto exclaims.
"Oh i took charge, i actually used my spear against her" Light says.
"We may have gone a little bit off the track on our conversation there" Mephilesto laughs.
"You know what ? I think i should go back to the topic at hand " Jaliel says.
"What can you do Mephilesto ?" Light asks.
"I can bring things from the other side of the veil, and manipulate them" he answers.
"what do you mean ?" Light asks.
Suddenly , the three of them feel pulled back from their body and are brought into a cozy room, there is a fireplace and a comfortable rug on the floor, a window overlooks a beautiful landscape
"Welcome to my kingdom, here you are powerless, and you can only escape this place when i authorize you to." Mephilesto speaks in an elegant tone .
"Why can't i move" Light asks.
"Because if i let you, you will probably destroy my palace and everyone in it" he answers.
"Don't get me wrong, you are quite handsome, but you look like a weakling in this kingdom" Mephilesto continues.
"You want me to seduce you, right ?" Light replies.
"I want to corrupt you, or at least that's my power, time here doesn't matter, i will convince YOU, we can only talk here and that's where i shine, through conversation, unfortunately, this doesnt work on gods" he says.
Suddenly they are sent back to the place they originaly were like nothing happened.
"This is a dream, so you can try anything" Light says.
"I don't think that's a very smart idea." Mephiles answers."The boy has much more pontential than you can fathom."
"What do you mean ?" Lights whispers.
"I can't tell you everything because you are not ready yet" Mephiles replies.
In the distance, the three adventurers see a city or rather what is left of it. It is covered in moss, and the buildings are crumbling, the streets are filled with trash, and there is a lot of dead birds everywhere. The citizens are all dead, and the ones that aren't are taken over by demons.
"I think we should hurry, i have a bad feeling about this city" Light says.
