"Whew."
I put my robe back on after wiping the sweat from my body with a towel I hung nearby. I stood on the backyard patio with only the full moon to light my way. Jin was curled up next to me.
With everyone else asleep, I could train to my heart's content. I'd been helping Bulat and the guys in the Blacksmith workshop make the pistols for the past half a month. And, with the first one resulted in an excellent condition, I left them with the other one, as they had asked me to try it themselves and give me the pistol as a gift. However, I did not reveal any methods or secrets for combining all of the parts and activating the Pistols with magic. As a result, I can keep my weapons safe and sound, even it is a bit thinking too much.
The pistol is 35 cm long, has a six-shot reloading magazine, and is made of a high-quality composite alloy of fire-refined iron core and light-refined iron core. It has the firepower of Mana condensed bullets of fire element travelling at 3km/s with my mana. They can penetrate the workshop's strongest knight armor, according to the tests we conducted.
The smiths in the workshops begged me for the method to assemble all the parts, but I never revealed anything and did it all by myself.
I could only hope for the next pistol. I'm curious what surprises the guys have in store for me when receive it and when I finish assembling the Pistol.
Aside from that, during these days, I did little aside from training myself and assisting Eve's mana manipulation and cultivarion when I was free.
I returned to training with a satisfied grin on my face, as it was already dark. Aside from developing my mana core, which I estimated would reach solid yellow stage by the time school starting, I was concentrating on two things. One was focusing on my lightning and ice attribute skills, which were by far my most powerful assets. And then there's the Dark mana, which I'm not knowledgeable with.
However, I was able to devise a method for cultivating and refining my mana core. A method of circulating internal mana and absorbing external mana without entering a meditative state, allowing me to cultivate while moving. I gave it a name. Cultivation of Influence or Impact Cultivation.
Now that I will get the item to conceal my mana core and elements from the man Bulat mentioned, I'll be able to pass myself off as a mere 'talented genius' without raising too many eyebrows.
I opened one of the Atlas city library books I'd brought with me. I was able to locate some of the limited books on static skills, which included a few sections on lightning and ice, as well as a few on dark magic.
While I would have some external skills as part of my arsenal, I was well aware of how much more powerful internal skills were in comparison to their external counterparts. Of course, it's not as flashy, but what I wanted was absolute power, not a dazzling light show.
It would take time and patience to develop, but I could already see the benefits as I imagined the levels above simply using a small current of lightning to quicken my reaction.
Dark magic is entirely based on negative mana particles, but I believe dark mana does not work in that manner alone. People of the human, Elven, and Dwarven races may have viewed the Demon race as their adversaries, but I believe there are good people in every clan or race. As a result, using dark magic should contain some secrets. I'm curious if I can enter the Demon realm to learn more about demons and the magic they wield.
As for my ice elemental skills, I wanted to focus on a wide range skills to fight against multiple opponents. My strongest skill was the combination of Cold Killing Intent and Absolute Ice, which I could only use because of the massive power-up I received from the unknown transformation that I went through inside the Holy tree.
I'm curious why I can't sense or transform in that destructive form again. Perhaps it's because I have full mana and vitality in my core; if I deplete all of my mana and reduce my vitality to feel the near death moment, then.... Nah I shouldn't go that far for a power that I couldn't use right now. I don't want to lose my life as a result of this.
For the time being, even if I had the technique and theory down for lightning, ice, or darkness, I'd need to be in the killing intent to use the more powerful skills. However, if I became enraged, I would lose control. I should probably learn how to control the spirit of the Killing Intent.
I couldn't help but become irritated by this fact, but there wasn't much I could do about it at the time except train.
Then I went back to the other book I had brought, which was about beast partners and Beast Essence.
I'd read it before, which made me sigh in helplessness. I expected this, but I couldn't help but feel disappointed when I read it for the first time. It appeared that being taught by the beast itself was the best way to train the mana beast.
The only other option mentioned was to thoroughly research the beast itself so that the beast tamer could learn and practice the beast's characteristics. And that tatt...contract symbol was both a contract and a beast essence. I was taken aback, but Jin is still a child. I'm curious when I'll be able to use Jin's essence that was given to me later Jin grew stronger.
I still want Jin to grow in strength. Guess he is like my lil bro after all haha.
Aside from training my static attributes magic, I also wanted to learn magic cancellation and swordsmanship.
Aside from swordsmanship, the theory was that elemental attribute mana was manipulated into the projected destination or into the caster's own body, whether through the form of a spell or through extensive knowledge of the skill. In a nutshell, these mana particles were coded to affect either the atmosphere or a specific target in order to produce a specific result.
The time between when the mage cast the coded mana particles and when those particles had an effect and formed the spell was very short.
If I could potentially disrupt those mana particles with my own mana during that delay, I would be able to end the spell without it even forming.
While that sounded fantastic in theory, there were several issues. One, in order for this to work, I'd need to know what spell my opponent was casting. That wasn't a problem when the mage chanted the spell, but in cases of mental chanting or even speed casting, I'd have to guess what the spell was based on the makeup of the mana during the near split-second the manipulated mana particles were cast before it took effect and formed a spell.
This necessitated learning a large number of spells and determining which skills could effectively cancel them out. Just thinking about it gave me a headache. Most spells could be deduced using magic theory, but being able to almost instantly think of the correct spell to counteract the opponent's meant I had to memories it. However, I knew that mastering this skill would be a priceless asset, especially for someone like me, who was able to manipulate all four elements.
I returned to my room, picking up my books and towel with one hand and Jin with the other as he swirled up, after hearing Evana discussing dresses with my Sis.
Evana was with my mother and sister, learning things they were teaching her that I didn't know about and training alongside me when I was available.
Evana and I have grown quite fond of each other as she teaches martial arts and I teach her my Impact cultivation...and we would get into awkward situations.
The funny thing is, she even directly explained to my sister that she has feelings for me that she doesn't understand, while I was sitting outside using mana reinforced ears to hear their conversations.
It makes me laugh, but I'm relieved she said it.
I sometimes took her to the workshop with me, and we walked around Atlas City. We even went to see the Atlas Academy, but we weren't allowed to enter.
I sunk into bed after a quick shower, causing Jin to stir in his sleep. He cuddled by me and started breathing steadily again, and the slow rhythm of his flickering tounge towards my face made me smile as, "Brudher! I'm tired! "As I placed a comfortable pillow for him, he said.
"Jin, go to sleep! We'll train again tomorrow!" as said I fell asleep after Jin closed his small eyes.
