Chapter 29:

[System Prompt: Tinkers Construct TAIGA add-on Alloy downloaded successfully loaded.]

[System Prompt: Since you have downloaded and activated a new module, you have obtained a Lucky Block. This Lucky Block will randomly provide an item from any known module.]

Along with the electronic notification, a Lucky Block materialized in Steve's inventory.

Mark's eyes lit up. As a gamer, he couldn't resist the allure of opening a Lucky Block and getting a prize.

While Mark was getting ready to enjoy the thrill of the lottery, Nick Fury was getting increasingly impatient. Mark had suddenly stopped talking, and it was driving him crazy.

The fact that Hydra agents had infiltrated his organization and even taken over his hometown was eating away at Nick Fury. What made it worse was that he was still paying their salaries. The thought made him restless.

"Can you get any information about their leader?" Nick Fury blurted out. "Like their name, what they look like, their position. I'll find a way to investigate them myself."

"Secrets of the universe must remain hidden," Mark dismissed the request. He was focused on the Lucky Block and had no time or interest in dealing with Nick Fury. He immediately had Steve right-click and open it.

But maybe because of Nick Fury's agitated mood, the flash of white light didn't produce any amazing artifact. Instead, a U-shaped magnet appeared in Steve's hand.

"Huh? What's this...?" Mark was surprised and quickly checked the item.

It was called the "Ore Magnet," something he recognized from his favorite mod, Twilight Forest.

As for what it did...

It aligned itself with the ground, and a right-click would bring buried ores to the surface.

At first glance, it seemed pretty powerful, being able to attract ores.

But in reality, the magnet had limited durability. After a few uses, it would crumble to dust. Plus, its range was tiny, only pulling up a few pieces of iron ore at most.

If you ranked all the useless items in the Minecraft world, this would be at the very bottom—a symbol of worthlessness.

"Damn!" Mark couldn't help but curse.

Then, as if a sudden thought struck him, Mark turned his gaze directly at Nick Fury.

"It must be you." Mark stared at Nick Fury, resisting the urge to facepalm. "I knew it. Next time, I'll have to burn some incense and pray for better luck..."

"Looks like you've hit another snag," Nick Fury remarked. "Is this the price for revealing secrets?"

"If I got punished every time I revealed a secret, I would've been struck by lightning ages ago," Mark retorted, rolling his eyes. "With how much I spoil things, it's not even leaking secrets anymore. I'm practically taunting fate..."

"So, was what you said earlier true or not?" Nick Fury was clearly still worried about the Hydra situation. "Did S.H.I.E.L.D. really have a bunch of Hydra agents undercover? Do you have any proof?"

"Do you believe everything I say?" Mark asked curiously.

"It's worth considering, at the very least," Nick Fury replied honestly. "We've analyzed your personality, and you don't seem to tell pointless lies."

"Oh? You've analyzed my personality?" Mark was intrigued. "Tell me more."

"You're aggressive, have a strong desire for attention, and hold grudges," Nick Fury explained. "According to our psychological agents, you're extremely arrogant and conceited. You show no mercy to enemies, but because of that, you disdain lying and playing tricks. Of course, that doesn't rule out the possibility that you're planning something big, like destroying the world."

"Like I said, I have no interest in destroying the world," Mark rolled his eyes. "What's the point of killing everyone? I'd rather have tons of gold and enjoy the capitalist lifestyle..."

"If you have so much money you don't know what to do with it, can you spare some?" Nick Fury couldn't help but ask.

"No way, even if someone asks their sugar daddy for money, don't they have to send a couple of selfies first?" Mark retorted. "You're always asking for money... Even biological fathers don't get treated like that."

"Then what do you want? Should I send you a couple of selfies too?" Nick Fury asked.

"Get lost," Mark imagined that scenario and shuddered. "If you have nothing else to do, go back and catch Hydra. Don't bother me while I'm studying magic."

And indeed, Nick Fury was busy.

After failing to get any answers from Mark, he quickly left on his Quinjet.

This was pretty similar to the original story, as only Agent Coulson and Hawkeye appeared in Thor. Nick Fury probably had other things to deal with, like checking on the recently awakened Captain America. If Mark hadn't contacted him, he probably wouldn't have shown up at all.

Once Nick Fury left, Mark found a nearby room for himself.

Since he had no urgent matters, he could use this time to interact with Thor and experiment with bringing Minecraft items into the real world.

The night passed quickly.

Early the next morning, Agent Coulson approached Mark with a stack of papers.

"Mr. Mark, we've found some leads."

Coulson handed the information to Mark. "The nearby town doesn't have much technology or security cameras. But we got a report this morning about a strange man trying to buy a horse at a pet store. He also attacked some hospital staff and smashed a coffee cup on the ground after drinking from it..."

"That's our guy," Mark nodded. "Did you catch him?"

"The man is pretty fast," Coulson shook his head. "But as per the director's orders, we've spread the word about the hammer. If that man... if he really is Thor, he should come running soon."
