While his grade mates attended the after celebration hosted by Daniel Curley, Jim had decided to spend the rest of his day brandishing his fighting skills. Ever since his fight with the sabertooth demon, a hunger had been ignited within him; the zeal to grow stronger. He knew that eventually he would have to face stronger opponents to maintain his presence in the living world, so what better way to do that than to improve on himself?
A few months ago, Jim was lazily browsing on the internet, until he had stumbled upon an advertisement about a modern day dojo right here in Memph City which trains people of all ages in the art of Chinese combat. Interested, Jim had searched further and discovered a technique called Shuai Jiao. This is a technique that focuses much on utilizing your enemy's strength to your advantage. It was a technique which required minimal effort to execute and comprised of easy movements.
Standing straight, he brought his right foot in front of the other, twisting his body as his left foot made a swipe close to the floor. The purpose of the attack is to unbalance one's opponent and it requires little to no hand movements. Practicing the same technique over and over, Jim had almost perfected the technique.
He had then decided to shift to things a little more basic. Now, he wanted to focus more on combining his kicks and punches in case he found himself in a one-on-one confrontation.
Bending both his arms, keeping them close to his chest, he spread his feet shoulder-width apart. Focusing his attention forward, he began throwing some punches. However, the way he punched was slightly different from how he would usually.
As his arm would extend, his shoulder would rotate along with his legs moving to accommodate the motion. This was meant to avoid strain while fighting and allows one to maintain as much energy as possible in a fight.
In the midst of practicing, Jim had received a system message. His time was slowly running out, meaning he would have to kill someone or something sooner or later. From today henceforth for the next two weeks, Jim would be on a holiday until he would have to leave home for his desired university.
For the past two weeks, Jim had went about his life as usual. At night, the system would teleport him to that dungeon where he would have to kill the sabertooth demon again and again. Considering how much energy points he was getting from the kills, he had decided to level up a couple times. Now, he was a Level 5 Undead.

[Transaction allows you to exchange energy points and other valuable items you have for something of equal value. However, once a transaction has been made, it cannot be reversed]
Jim had just killed his fourteenth sabertooths the demon as he got ready to consume its flesh, something he had gotten used to quite quickly after his second kill, having forgotten to eat the first corpse. Surprisingly, it tasted like beef, something he found strange but couldn't complain about since it at least didn't taste terrible. By consuming the flesh of his kill, he is able to aquire an additional 500 Energy points.

[Energy Pocket: 10770]
Seeing as he had enough energy to last him over seven days, he decided to come out of the dungeon, appearing back in his room. It was eight in the night, and since there wasn't anything Jim could do to make himself sleep, he decided to use this time to search up some info about his chosen University.
Although he and Amanda we're far from rich, she was still able to afford decent Wi-Fi for them to enjoy during their leisure times. Going online, he typed in the name 'Garacia College Of Education.'
The GCE is a private institution located in BlackBones City. BlackBones is a city located a little far away from Memph. On a train, it would take someone at least twelve hours to travel between cities. Satisfied with his research, Jim decided to focus on the two other features he had unlocked after levelling up, but not only that, there was also. different message at the end.

[Soul Count enables you to know how many souls you have sent to their death. Not only that, your Soul Count can be exchanged for other valuables using Transaction and can also earn you awards from your superiors]
[Soul Count: 3]
Reading the last part, Jim could somewhat agree with the system's analogy. Since the sabertooth demon was a creature not borne of Earth, its soul already belonged to death. Although all this was merely a hypothesis forming in his head. It was also his idea to.nickname the creature Sabertooth Demon.
Since tonight was his last night in Memph, Jim had already packed his luggage and was ready to leave the city the next day. Hugging his sister tightly, be bid her farewell as he took a taxi to the city railway station. Having bought a ticket and booked his trip a week in advance, he was one of the first to board the train. Once full, the wheels began to move as the driver started the train.
During the course of the trip, Jim had decided to listen to some news on his phone. Reading something that had to do with the science branch, he had learnt that the country's head science laboratory had made a ground-breaking discovery. Although much wasn't disclosed about what the discovery was, the title 'New Beings,' had peeked his interest.
'It seems like they haven't learnt anything from Sci-fi movies,' Jim mused, then he remembered himself.
Twelve hours later, it was night. The train had finally arrived at BlackBones City train station. Holding his luggage tightly, he followed the address on his phone, calling a taxi and directing the driver until they had arrived in front of a large building with the words 'GCE' placed on top of the building.
Paying the taxi driver, he got out his luggage and walked towards the gates. There, he met two security guards who asked for his ID seeing the heavy luggage he was carrying. Once all the formalities were cleared, he was allowed entrance into the compound, where he met other security men and had to repeat the process.
Eventually, he made his way to the reception area, where a young woman in her mud twenties sat on a chair tying away at her computer. It wasn't until Jim spoke to her that her eyes darted away from the screen.
"Good evening, my name is Jim Wesley. I am here to find out which room I've been assigned to," he said.
Before his graduation, all the formalities required to enter they GCE had been performed. All that was left was to get to the GCE and find out your room distribution, which was why he was currently standing in front of the reception area.
"Gimmie a sec," she said, and not long after, he pulled out a card with his name written boldly at the top. Reading the number on the card, he made his way to the elevator taking it up to the third floor. Getting off, he walked through the hallway until he had come across a door having a number above it which was the same as the number on his card.
"Room 106," slashing the key against the system, the door then unlocked. Pushing it open, Jim could see two people already present in the room. Waving at both of them, he made his way in placing his luggage on the only empty bed in the room, after which he decided to get to know who his roommates were.
