*BOOM!*
Rowan was the first to start the fight, attacking with his plants towards H0gal. Right, when they were centimeters away from him they entered a void-like space and appeared behind H0gals body. It was as if they went through him without making contact with him at all.
"Looks like he's focusing on defense," Kira spoke out loud. "Makes sense since he barely has any Ahi left to attack."
"Tch!"
Onyx clicked his tongue as he watched from the familiar room. 'I didn't teach him that far yet!'
Ken saw the frustration on his face.
"You must really care about him huh?"
Onyx kept quiet and stared at the screen, looking at Rowan's nervous face.
"Of course, I care about him. He's the best shot I have at getting to the top of this world." Ken knew there was more to it but decided not to push.
Rowan attacked some more with his trees to find that it was absolutely useless. H0gal jumped up on one of the branches, running towards him.
'What the hell?' Rowan thought with a nervous smirk. 'How do I even get through that?'
TRCreader: There's no way you're going to beat this guy.
'Even I struggled with this guy at first. Honestly, he is the definition of shitty power, good user.' Kira thought. 'There is one huge weakness though.'
It was now H0gals turn to jump to Rowan and start attacking with Ahi enforced fists. He went for a hook followed by a strong uppercut that Rowan dodged swiftly. He had done boxing before and knew exactly how to avoid the attacks.
"AM I GIVING YOU A HARD TIME!?" H0gal yelled towards him. 'He's just a first year! I definitely have the upped hand here!'
"Nah I'm doing just fine."
'That's a lie!' Rowan's inner conscious was panicking. 'How are my attacks not connecting but his are? Does he get rid of the Ahi on his body when he wants to make contact?'
Rowan jumped back and wasting no time H0gal closed the distance again. This time when H0gal went in for a punch, Rowan did the same and both their fists slammed into each other. This sent a huge shock wave through his arm, breaking all the bones.
Rowan could feel the increasing pain go through his arm like electricity running down from the sky. The skin on his fist was ripped up, showing the red meat as blood ran down. There were now bumps along the arm with all the bones sticking out and the color changing.
Stephensolos: if this fight becomes a battle of strength, Rowan is losing hard
Rowan's arm flung down and he felt nothing from the shoulder below. H0gal was still in pursuit, staying very close to his back. Though Rowan knew this was a bad idea he didn't have another choice. Therefore, He ducked down and brought his arm close to his chest before sending another jab.
'He's going to break both!' Onyx furrowed his non existent eyebrows.
Unlike before the moment the fist reached his opponents body, it disappeared.
*THWACK!*
Caught off guard, Rowan was sent back by a punch that came from H0gal's opposite hand, his mouth filling with blood. His armor protected him from magical attacks but not so much for physical ones which made it useless in this battle. H0gal was the type to only use his brute strength, plus his power isn't the attack type.
TRCreader: ooooh that gon hurt! [pain]
[The heavenly beings winced at that action]
Whether it was the brutal hit to the face or the desperation Rowan felt, he suddenly remembered back to the little trick H0gal did before the fight.
When he created the two Ahi portals and fused them, it created a large impact for it was the Ahi itself that was being fused and not the Souls. Rowan hit the ground and jumped back up with one hand after the revelation.
This wasn't something Onyx hadn't taught him but it had to be true. If two opposing Ahi sources clash at the same time, then it makes for a huge explosion. He wasn't sure if this would work since H0gal was using his own Ahi and it still made the explosion but he had to try.
Stephensolos: YESSSSS nice recovery man!
"I think he's figured it out." Ken spoke looking at Rowan's face through the screen.
Onyx was focusing hard on the match.
'Yes! Yes! That's exactly it! The only reason H0gal was able to do so with his Ahi is because of his manifestation! Go Rowan!'
He quickly fused his palm with Ahi and attacked H0gals chest.
*BOOOM!*
They both got launched to opposite sides and Rowan stuck one of his branches to the floor and used that to hold himself in place. H0gal on the other hand flew way out of the ring, smashing into the bottom of the stands.
Stephensolos: WOOHHHH
TRCreader: I totally had faith in you!
The only thing that mattered in these fights were tap out's and if the person couldn't fight back anymore. So even though H0gals was out of bounds, it didn't matter because it wasn't against the rules.
He recovered quickly and teleported in front of Rowan, barraging him with punches while Rowan blocked with his sen. It was very weak since he had used it for too long and H0gals strength was too much. His fist broke through easily and hit him right in the guts.
"ACKK!!!"
[the heavenly beings collectively 'ooohhhhhh'ed ]
Rowan screamed out in pain, as he spits out blood. This punch was almost on par with kiras. Now his nose was bloody, the inside of his mouth was aching, his arm was broken and his gut felt like it was ripped apart. His ears were ringing and he couldn't hear a thing.
'Ill just use my sen-'
H0gal suddenly teleported again, this time using Ren to cover up his trace.
'W-where?' Before, Rowan was able to figure out where he was coming from To some extent, but not anymore.
Before Rowan could even regain his hearing, H0gal suddenly appeared behind him reaching for his pockets and pulling out the contents. It was a pair of guns.
"I'M SORRY BUT I'M ENDING IT NOW!"
They were unique-shaped guns with no handles and he held the trigger with his middle finger. The index was on top and the rest of his fingers were holding the bottom.
[the heavenly beings are 'wooowwww'ed ]
Stephensolos: wtf type of guns!?
Aiming for Rowan's shoulders, H0gal shot the bullets and they raced towards Rowan's back.
*CLINK, CLINK!*
There was the sound of metal hitting metal as Rowan positioned himself so the swords on his back were able to defend him from the bullets.
"!!!"
TRCreader: LESSSSS GOOOOOO!
Everybody was stunned at how he had used his swords in the situation. Onyx was smiling in a cocky manner as he watched the other familiars be in awe.
[the heavenly beings are intrigued by your quick thinking]
'His reaction time is fast!' Kira thought from her room. 'He's a quick thinker as well. This isn't someone who's a newbie to fighting.'
H0gal -who was also surprised by Rowan's thinking- quickly zoomed back as Rowan took out his swords. He lunged forward to slice H0gal but he was too far away.
'There's no way his sword can reach me from over there.' H0gal thought as he jumped backward some more.
Rowan ran forward and he flung his sword towards his opponent. He was holding it by the tip of one sword and the other was attacking H0gal.
"WHAT KIND OF CRAZY GRIP STRENGTH IS THAT!?"
[You have caught the eye of a certain DemiGod]
'Got you!' Rowan thought.
His sword was aiming to slice H0gal in half but then it suddenly disappeared. Then it reappeared on the other side of his rival's body. After that was done, H0gal dropped down to the floor panting like a dog.
"HHHUH, AHH, HHH!"
'Seems he's at his limit.' Kira watched Rowan breathe hard and be the only person standing.
He walked up to where H0gal was kneeling. Slowly he put his leg up and slammed down an axe kick on the kneeling man's head. He was ready to fully end the fight before...
[The heavenly beings wished the fight could be longer]
*BOOM!!!*
H0gal suddenly got a power up and started bursting with Ahi.
