After Rowan was done with the hunting, he started a fire to cook the woar. Tossing some raw meat to onyx, he put some on a stick for himself. They both ate their fill and were lounging around the fire.
"Ahhhh~" Rowan breathed out. Onyx finished his food before he spoke.
"Hey, about what the guys said in the store…" he started before Rowan cut him off.
"Didn't ask, don't care." He said as he kept eating. "You don't have to tell me anything. Like I said, there's nothing that will ever make me regret meeting you."
Onyx didn't want that though.
"Yea but I still want to tell you." He said and Rowan answered with silence. Onyx took that as an okay start.
"I'm from a galaxy of sorcery, a place where wizards and witches all live together. It's a world full of magic and a world where if you're not careful, can easily be destroyed by it. From a young age I lived alone with my father, who was a wood shop owner. He used to make staffs and wands for the other wizards. My mother left us after I was born and therefore I had no recollection of her whatsoever. That was okay with me though as my dad was a lovely man who took good care of me."
'Lack of a mother figure. I guess we have that in common.' Rowan Ate as onyx continued.
"Like I said, sorcerers are the elemental types so there were all different kinds of witches/wizards who used different elements. Every element had its own planet and the people born there were given said power. The core of the planet had a heart like stone that powered it. I was a very curious kid growing up, always asking my dad questions and annoying him about the stones while he tried to work." Onyx lightly chuckled as the memories came back.
"Even though all the heart stones were separated into their own planets, there was a festival that was held every year on the royal family's planet."
"They have their own planet?" Rowan asked.
"The royal family's bloodline lived there as they didn't need the stones for their power. Something about how the first king ate a fruit or at least that's how the stories used to go." Onyx replied.
"As I was saying, All the stones were gathered and brought there as people came together to celebrate the royal family and stones blessings. We were always too poor to go, so I begged my dad to save money all year so we could participate this time. When we got there, it was nothing like you have ever seen Rowan. I'm telling you, there were people floating around in bubbles of air, there were people zooming past in fire lines! It was the best!" He explained to Rowan as he sat there and laughed.
"Dude, we should definitely visit there sometime!" Rowan tried to imagine the place. Suddenly onyx got gloomy from Rowan's words. 'Is this the planet he blew up?'
"Me being the curious kid I was, ran off somewhere to go explore. I was looking around everywhere pushing through the crowds of people before I heard a 'psst '."

Flashback
"Hey kid! Come here!" A male voice came from the side. Onyx looked over seriously at who was calling to him. The clouded male figure put a finger up to his lips, signaling to Onyx to be quiet.
'Are they talking to me?' Onyx thought and walked over to the kids.
"Are you talking to me?" His child-like voice was high-pitched and cute. He looked up at the clouded figures as they smiled.
"Yeah kid! Aren't you interested in the stone hearts? I could see from a mile away your love for them!" One of the other male figures said.
Onyx's face beamed with a smile.
"I do! They're so cool, single handedly powering our galaxy!" Onyx replied.
"Wouldn't you want to see them for yourself at least once in your life?" The guy said.
"I do! I do!"
"Well don't tell anybody but, we have a plan to get into the stone tree today! Don't you want to come? It's a once in a lifetime opportunity!"

Present
"I don't remember the kids' faces well because I was merely 6 at that time." Onyx said. "But I do remember how much taller they were. They were obviously way older than I was."

Flashback
"There's three of us but we need four to enter the tree. You'll do it won't you?" The guy said, reaching out a hand to onyx.
'But daddy said to not go near the stone.' Onyx thought. 'I'll just go take a look and come back!'
He took the guy's hand and followed them through the alleyways to secretly pass by the guards at the gates of the tree. They entered and stood in front of the large tree that was made completely of stone.
"Alright then, I'm sure you know how to open the locks?" One of the guys asked Onyx.
"Of course!" He replied. "I've seen it happen before on tv!"
"Good. Now go to the earth lock."
Onyx did as he was told and stood in front of the door.

Present
"Each person had to use their power and send it into the lock to open the doors. Of course I used the little earth magic I knew and just like that the door opened." Onyx explained.
"That's a terrible lock bro." Rowan said.
"I know. Thinking back, it was a very weak idea."

Flashback
*FWOOSH*
Onyx tried his hardest to flow his magic into the lock. 'My magic isn't that strong….but I can try!' He thought and pushed harder. Finally the doors started to swing backwards, revealing the inside of the room.
"Woah!" Onyx exclaimed, and went in to see the earth stone that was put in the middle of the room. Onyx walked forward looking at the shining stone. 'It's so small yet so powerful!'
"Heheheheh."
Onyx heard a crackle behind him and turned around. The three guys were now entering the room and laughing among themselves. Looking over at the one on the right's hand, onyx saw the three stones.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" He yelled, as the guys now turned their attention on him.
"Oh we're just taking the stones and getting rich!" The guys in the center said.
"UGH!"
Onyx lurched himself at the men but was met with a kick to the gut.
*THWACK*
"ACK-" He rolled back down on the floor.
"Get it." The guy in the center said to the one on the left. Onyx got back up holding his stomach and shielding the stone. He looked up at the guy and then threw himself onto his leg.
*MUNCH*
"AHHHHHHHHH!"
Onyx bit his leg and the guy screamed in pain. The one in the center ran and kicked onyx off the guy. They both teamed up and beat him as he was on the floor.
*CRUNCH*
one stepped on his face and his teeth hit the concrete floor. Onyx started tasting the blood as he screamed in pain. Tears streamed down his face.
'It hurts.' He thought. 'I want my dad.'
As the other two were doing this the guy on the right went to grab the stone out of its place.

"but you see, there was a reason the stones were kept separated at all times. Together they created a force so destructive it could kill billions. The moment the boy put all the stones in one hand, they started to glow brightly as electricity flew through them."

Flashback
*CRACKLE*
Onyx in his beaten state looked through his functioning eye towards the guys. The guy with the stones in his hand was glowing and making the room hot.
'I'm fading' onyx thought.

Present
"I was half dead on the floor so I don't remember much, but I suddenly woke up to being back on our earth planet. Somebody slapped me across the face bringing me back to reality. I was surrounded by all the military and royals, watching me like I was an animal." Onyx sighed remembering the looks on the peoples faces.

Flashback
'W-what's happening?' Onyx thought as he tried to get up.
"UGH!"
He came crashing down as his hand and feet were tied together. Onyx looked around in utter confusion at the people looking down at him.
"YOU MONSTER!" One woman spat from the side.
"YOU DESERVE TO DIE!" Another man said.
"SCUM!"
The people all yelled at onyx as he was in the middle of the huge circle. All the different screams assaulting his ears absolutely frightened him and he started crying.
"WAHHHHHH PAPA! I WANT MY DADDY!" He screamed.
"DIE!!!" A man threw a rock at him.
"DISGUSTING BITCH!"

Present
'Wow.' Rowan thought. 'Acting like that towards a 6 year old?'
"I yelled for my dad but he was nowhere to be found. All my injuries were now healed and I didn't have a scratch on me. All the other boys had disappeared leaving me alone in the tree. The people were furious saying I destroyed their holy planet, the planet of the royals as I sat there a dying mess. To this day I don't understand how I was able to survive that explosion. The other people would have teleported but I didn't know any teleportation magic." Onyx said, asking Rowan the questions that he had always had.
"Yea that doesn't make any sense." Rowan said as he sat there thinking. "This whole story just seems off." He said as he thought about the boys, the royals, what happened to the stones etc.
"After that they banned me from the galaxy and threw me out to fend for myself. I wasn't welcomed anywhere else either so I just came here to try and make a living. Through the years I tried and tried to make potions, and work with my earth magic but everything was a failure. That led me to just give up my body in hopes of a strong incarnation." Onyx said, finishing his story. "I hope this gives some perspective. This is the reason I need you to become number 1."
"Wow." Rowan said. "That sounds like a main character back story bro."
"Hey that's my trauma we're talking about!"
"Well I think you at least kind of got your wish." Rowan smiled at onyx. "I'm kinda strong aren't I?"
Onyx chuckled.
"You're one of the weakest players I've ever seen." He said.
"HEY! I was trying to cheer you up but fuck that! Go back to being gloomy!" Rowan turned his head with a 'humph'. Onyx laughed enjoying this moment.
"So tomorrow huh. Big day." He said as Rowan replied with a 'mhm'.
"What exactly is your goal? Like not just the competition but just in this world in general? You seem to be in hurry to go back to earth." Onyx asked. "You know mine."
"I have a brother." Rowan replied. "I need to get back to as soon as possible."
"What was his name?"
"Alec."They both nodded as silence dawned over them.
'Looks like he still doesn't want to speak much about his past.' Onyx thought.
"I'm also going to make myself a family." Rowan declared out of nowhere.
"W-what?" Onyx asked, taken aback. "I d-didn't know that was what you had in mind…we're going to need to find you a wife!"
"NO! THAT WASN'T WHAT I MEANT!" Rowan said blushing. He had to get used to being a man before he could be a father.
"I never had a real family back on earth. That's why I'm going to gather a bunch of ally's to be part of my family, then I can reach the top of this world with them! I'm going to collect somebody from all the galaxies and bring them back with me to earth. Alec would love it!" Rowan said. "And don't worry. I'm going to become number 1of this world and bring you back as a hero to your galaxy."
Onyx chuckled. "Are you not going to ask me to join?"
"What are you talking about? You're already a part of it." Rowan said with a blank face. "You don't have a choice."
"Well then I'm honored to be the first in your family."
