Matilda's POV:
I felt as if I had entered a strange space. The only thing I could see in this space was the light in my palm. It was like magic from the elves or fireworks from last year's birthday cake. At this moment, there seemed to be many voices whispering.
Just as we were about a foot away from the driveway, Baron, who was also confused, suddenly asked, "What... is going on?"
I was like someone who was suddenly awakened from a dream. I put away my palm, and the car suddenly descended. The golden light disappeared, and we crashed onto the ground. All the airbags exploded simultaneously and walloped me in the face.
"What the hell was that?" I asked in a panic.
Outside the car window, the rain was beating against the glass. There was no one nearby. Nevertheless, I was sure that I had seen the light. It wasn't an illusion.
"You saw it too, right?" I turned to look at the silent Alpha Baron.
