Matilda's POV:
His indifference angered me. "You don't care at all, do you? You haven't thought of a way out at all. You only want to send me away!"
"Matilda, I know you're angry now. But this is what we agreed on. I had no choice."
"No choice? Hah! You don't have any other choice at all. I'm on this path because of you!" I interjected and roared, "I won't believe you unless you show me the signed contract."
My father didn't move. Instead, he stood silently like a statue. "Matilda, your mother and I love you very much."
My patience, which had been wearing thin, was at its limit. "Stop playing these useless love cards here! I don't accept it at all!"
"No, Matilda, you really can't read it."
"Enough!" I couldn't stand my father's mysterious hindrance anymore. I shook off his hand and left.
I could understand my father's actions, but it didn't mean that the way I wanted to contribute to our pack was to be thrown into another pack.
