Matilda's POV:
I had one last hour to say goodbye to everyone.
I had never known leaving to be so painful, especially when it came to saying goodbye to my father.
Gray and Lily accompanied me to my father's office.
I was not a coward, but I wanted to back down at that moment.
My father loved me. I could see it in his eyes and every move. It was precisely because of this that I could not forgive him for giving up on me so easily.
The door opened.
I walked in as Lily and Gray looked at me. My father sat with the other older members of Parliament and Alpha Baron to discuss things.
"Father," I said in a low mood.
In just a few days, he had aged more than a little. His once tall and mighty back was bent, and most of his hair was white. There were tired dark circles under his eyes, and even his clothes had become wrinkled. My father was also troubled by this, and his most beloved daughter had a big argument with him.
