The next morning, Jayson held Cynthia tight to his chest as he reminisced on what they had both did last night and he couldn't help the pang of guilt stabbing him in the chest continuously like a bunch of needles. After their fun time, Cynthia was so tired she couldn't even go wash up, leaving Jayson to do all the work for her, not that he was complaining. Staring at Cynthia, he wondered how she'll feel when she finds out he was getting married to someone else, especially after deflowering her.
He heaved a sigh and snuggled into Cynthia more, wishing he could end the marriage deal but he knew fully well it was impossible. 'I can't believe the almighty Jayson could fall in love so bad!' Jayson thought to himself. 'She's not a plaything, not a one-day girlfriend and most definitely not a one-night stand. She's the only girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. If she had fallen in love with one of the others, even Roland, it would have been quite understandable but…am I worth the love of the richest girl in the country? You'll most definitely hate me for leaving but there's nothing I can do about it".
He slipped out of bed to order for room service before having a quick shower, ready to sneak out of the room. to his dismay, Cynthia had already woken up when he was showering and found it weird, he was sneaking around. Right as his hands were on the door knob, she asked "Where are you going?". His heart skipped a beat hearing her voice and he was quite shocked. He was scared and wanted to tell her the truth but said instead "Mum needs me for something and I didn't want to bother you. Go back to bed now, I'll be leaving, goodbye…". His goodbye sounded sad, he knew he had to say goodbye soon but what he didn't expect was for Cynthia to reply a 'Goodbye…'in the same disappointed and sad tone.
He brushed it off and made his way out of the hotel where he met with the rest of the Gabidans before taking off to meet his mother. At home, his mother asked how their night was but as expected, he totally ignored her. The boys could tell Mrs. Grande had something to say to Jayson so they patted him and gave them some privacy.
Standing in the living room and staring daggers at his mother, Jayson crossed his arms around his chest waiting for her to say what she wants to say. A few seconds of silence later, Mrs. Grande said "Jayson, why are you this hostile towards me?". Still, no response from Jayson. "Well, that aside, you'll be meeting your fiancée today at least to get to know her before marriage so go get ready".
Jayson laughed sarcastically to his mother who stared at him confused. "So, this is why you called me here mum? Ha, why don't you keep her identity a surprise till my wedding day like you've kept it so far" and with that said, Jayson walked off, leaving his shocked mum in the living room to call off the plans.
Cynthia on the other hand was sad and moody after Jayson left and had to go home where she met with the girls in their room trying to cheer her mood up. She felt heartbroken he didn't call to check up on her after their little adventure but she knew better not to reach out to him knowing fully well she would be getting married soon. She was shocked when she found out her fiancé called off the meeting but didn't think much to it, for all she knew, he might as well have also been forced into getting married to her.
She curled up on Angela's laps while the other girls were talking about their encounter with their lovers. Noticing her down mood, the girls tried cheering her up each suggesting one thing or the other.
"Let's go for a shopping spree!"
"Let's go get our nails done!"
"Let's go to the salon for our hair do!"
The girls yelled at the same time then burst out laughing, causing a warm smile to form on Cynthia's lips after which they all hopped out of bed to get changed. They had a lot of fun at the salon before going on a shopping spree.
While shopping, Cynthia noticed a familiar figure at the wedding outfit section. Her dad had already picked out the right wedding dress for her so she didn't really care, she just wanted to clear her curiosity by passing by when she noticed a familiar figure. Noticing who it was, she froze. Her sudden reaction caught the girl's attention but when they looked over to where Cynthia was staring at, they seemed shocked. Margriana quickly led Cynthia away to pay for the things they bought before heading home.
The ride to the Holloway mansion was silent and suffocating as the girls were thinking of an excuse to give Cynthia while Cynthia was trying to wrap her head around what she had seen. At home, Pricillia prepared a warm bath for Cynthia while the girls tried to calm her down. Tears were all over Cynthia's face as she said for the umpteenth time "But why! I'm getting married in less than a week and he wants to propose to me! how do I tell him I'm not gonna marry him! Why's this happening to me! Why!" Cynthia cried more before finally soaking herself in the rose filled bath tub.
And so, days passed and Cynthia stopped feeling guilty, rather, she started to believe everything happened for a reason and thought, if they were never meant to be, then do be it. The girls and her father were not sure if they should be happy for her change of thinking or worried but one thing was for sure, they had mixed feelings about it.
