Cynthia pinned George with a set of cold green eyes, he stared long at her, this was a face that he didn't know she could show him. He swallowed back his disappointment in her. 'My expectations were too high,' he said as he dropped his gaze, feeling ridiculous.
The disappointment on his face infuriated Cynthia to no end.
"I think we should continue this in your car," her hand that clutched her purse trembled.
George nodded solemnly then got up and offered Cynthia his arm, she took it and they started heading out in a dignified manner without having to ask for the bill. Evans-soft already had an agreement and a subscription with this restaurant so the bill was going to naturally be paid by the end of the current calendar month.
