George stayed in Cynthia's room that night but ended up sleeping like a dead man over her bed covers.
Cynthia looked at him through narrow eyes. She marveled at the fact that George was able to sleep through that much noise, her poor baby cried so much, so loud, for the first time in Cynthia's entire life she was actually aware of the fact that she didn't have neighbors and how much that was good right now.
She soothed her baby and rocked him softly, massaged his tummy, and tried to breastfeed him many times. Breastfeeding was getting very painful even with the use of ointments. At one point, she actually saw blood on one of her nipples. But after a quick search on the internet, she understood that it was just the way it is… Things are supposed to become easier when her milk comes.
She hoped it will come fast.
