After hearing his wife out for as long as she was willing to talk to him, George placed her head on his beating heart, intertwined their hands together then placed them over her beating heart. She was already exhausted before telling him all about what had troubled her lately.
While at the beginning of the conversation, George thought he was truly about to faint once more hearing her talking about the monsters she was battling with, while the conversation progressed further, her calm attitude managed to become balm over his wounds. And while he was still tremendously concerned for her mental wellbeing because of that little disconnected state he had walked into the room and saw her in, both of them felt significantly better by the time that the conversation reached the natural part where it became just reflection on what had been said.
"Honey," he murmured, pressing his lips against her forehead wanting to make room for some more talk.
