Robert was lying down on the hospital bed with Gloria sitting right next to him, he had a hand pressed on her cheek while she held his other hand with both of hers tenderly. Both of them watched as her blood was provided to him through a narrow tube placed within a vein in his arm.
She smiled and kissed his wrist while he looked at her as if he was looking at an angel.
"…I don't like it, you look paler than usual," Robert complained.
Gloria's smile was a kind one as her eyes shone with the love she carried in her heart for her ex husband, "Nonsense, you're the one who looks paler than usual," she spoke softly, but she was less concerned now than how she had been when she first saw him.
The blood bag was halfway through, and his colors were beginning to go back to normal, the faint usual pink in his cheeks was slowly returning to his handsome face.
Robert sighed, "I really have to call him,"
