[Incident Encounter Log 001 - Start]
The Recon Branch's Squad 7 and one ICTF member were out patrolling the forest near the town of Roseneath. They had been alerted to the presence of Incident 3: Harness, and were told that he was seen flying above the trees in this forest. Sunbreaker was the ICTF member patrolling the area with the Recon branch, having a conversation about how to possibly defeat Incident 3.
"So, he can manipulate gravity, right? What does that entail?" Sunbreaker asked one of the members. "Well, it means that he can increase and decrease gravity to its furthest limits. Black holes are a formation of gravity, so you should assume that he can use those too." The leader of Squad 7, Aaron "Goldtooth" Stratos, explained to him, watching as Sunbreaker turned into a more human-like form which equalled Stratos in height as they talked, just so that he wouldn't have to look down at him all the time.
"Remind me, what are you able to do again?" Stratos asked, Sunbreaker smiling in response. "I have pyrokinesis, the ability to manipulate fire, and the ability to make gases such as oxygen and carbon monoxide. I can also create airborne forms of explosives, so stuff like C4 and Dynamite laced in the air is an option." Sunbreaker responded, shocking Stratos. He wasn't privy to the abilities of every Incident be worked with, but this one certainly seemed powerful. It explained why he was the leader.
A cascade of screams erupted from behind them, the sound of air whipping past their ears as a black ball engulfed three of the Recon Squad's members. Their screams were quickly followed by another, as another orb of gravity appeared in the chest of another member, consuming him from the inside out. "Harness!" Stratos yelled, Harness descending from the sky like the menace to the world that he was. Stratos fired a full magazine of bullets from his M4A1, the bullets stopping a centimetre from Harness' face. Dr Dani Murphy, known only to many as Harness, had a smile on his face. His pupils were small, his irises a cat-like green. The bullets turned around slowly, almost dramatically. More, around a hundred, bullets were fired at the insane doctor from the soldiers that had a clear line of fire, but they all stopped a single centimetre away from him. Suddenly, all the bullets fired outwards, back towards their original shooters. Two soldiers were hit in the head, and one was shot in the heart. There were two unnamed soldiers left surviving alongside Stratos, Heisean Feldman and Sunbreaker. Sunbreaker's right arm turned into a blade with a near-razor sharp edge so that it wouldn't dull easily.
Sunbreaker charged at Harness, his arm moving swiftly through the air as if he was cutting the space around him. Harness stood still, not reacting to Sunbreaker's advances. Sunbreaker shoved his blade towards Harness' chest, the sword-arm stopping five centimetres from his sternum. Harness stared deep into Sunbreaker's soul, his eyes almost blank. However, Harness quickly lost whatever interest he had in Sunbreaker, and flung him towards Heisean. Heisean quickly dropped to the ground, Sunbreaker flying into the tree behind him, cracking it as he fell to the earthen floor.
Stratos ran up towards Harness, Heisean and the unnamed soldiers firing bullets from their M4A1's at Harness, doing nothing but annoying him slightly as the bullets slowed down before they could reach him. Stratos pulled a knife out from his clothes, a standard hunting knife, and swung it at Harness, pushing as hard as he could against the thin layer of gravity that Harness was using to protect himself.
Sunbreaker stood up, his body quickly regenerating what little damage he had taken from Harness flinging him. Sunbreaker rushed towards Harness, shrinking in height by about four inches, but his body became slightly armoured as a result. His fist, which was still just a spike, flung towards Harness's chest, pointed at his heart. Sunbreaker slammed his fist at Harness with enough force that the top of his spike touched Harness. Harness tried to push Sunbreaker's hand away, but it was too late.
This was Sunbreaker's chance. Sunbreaker shrunk slightly, creating a long but thin spear that was attached to the tip of his already-existing spike. This sharp point stabbed Harness straight through the heart, his eyes widening as his hands fell limp. Sunbreaker had to ensure that this creature stayed dead. He shrunk by about a foot, his small spear embedded into Harness' heart creating thousands of tiny offshoots, stabbing it in many different places. Some spikes could even be seen outside of his body. It was like Harness has turned into a pincushion.
Sunbreaker felt the gravity surrounding Harness die out, a sigh of relief coming from his mouth. He removed his spike-encased hand from Harness' body, his fist and body turning back to what it normally was. "Stratos, what should we do with Incident 3's body? We can't just leave it here." Sunbreaker asked, Heisean and Stratos looking back at the body. "We could bring it with us. We'll bring it back to the TCF and have them store the body. This way we will know where this maniac's body resides." One of the unnamed soldiers suggested. "I like that plan. Thank you, Soldier Greenway." Stratos responded, picking up Harness's body over his back in the fireman's carry position.
The group returned home, to the TCF base, seven members down. They left the body of Incident 3: Harness, in my care. I placed it in one of the cryogenic freezing chambers that we have here in the TCF. This way, the body will be kept relatively fresh in case we need to inspect his body.
