Time had been far spent at Selena's club so it was very late by the time we got back to the manor, Madame was waiting for us on the front porch with a bottle of wine in hand, even though that she was out of her mourning period; she still loved wearing flowing black clothes that made her look ghostly.
"Mother, what are you doing outside? You might catch a cold" Julian said to his mother affectionately as he came down from the car, I followed suit and I tried my possible best to act normal (hardest thing to do when you are high).
"Where are the two of you coming from? I don't care if I catch a fever, all I want is answers" she was sounding calm but I knew that she was furious within herself, I hid behind Julian as he faced off with his mother outside.
