I had been expecting the meeting between Raymond and Olivia to be very awkward but I was disappointed in the end because the outcome was the opposite of what I expected. Raymond was at first shy to get into the details about his life and Olivia was being a bit cold at first but when the first ice was broken, things took another turn from there. Raymond was full of jokes and Olivia was amazed at his sense of humour as I was, Olivia told him about some embarrassing moments from our college years and we were all laughing over our smoothies until it was closing time, with the way that they flowed so easily with each other it was easy to discern me as a third wheel.
"Are you waiting for a cab?" Raymond asked her when we got outside, Olivia was already going to the usual spot that we used to stand when we used to wait for a cab after our closing hour.
