Julian left after he dropped that shocking news, I knew that he was about to start processing everything as soon as he left so I went on with the task at hand which was reconciling with the crying Jennifer who refused to let me pet her. I wasn't used to consoling people when they were crying and that was one sisterly duty that I never performed for Lucia and it made me feel even more guilty as I watched her sob with confusion.
"It's okay, you can stop crying now. I am not going to hit you anymore or ever again, I am sorry for any injuries I may have inflicted-" I was trying to recite the apology without stopping so that I could catch up with Julian but Jennifer seemed to have found her tongue.
