Chereads / A Hunter In Teyvat / Chapter 73 - Chapter 67

Chapter 73 - Chapter 67

The next week consisted of our party doing random commissions across Liyue and news of our stay in the nation of Liyue. And more importantly both our prior actions in Mondstadt and the dozens of high-level quests that we took in the Liyue adventurer's guild had made the Liyue populace accept us as one of their own more popular figures almost up there in the famous Liyue Qixing members like Keqing and Ganyu.

Because antagonizing the scary strong but generally nice dude with his harem and weird flying mascot that succeeded killing a massive dragon that was going to attack the cities interests was surprisingly a terrible idea and the people of Liyue were proud not be so stupid as to push away a group of powerful monster slayers that just wanted to settle down in their city.

Plus, the restaurant business's in Liyue adored us as we always went to a different restaurant and probably spent more in our groups feast than they made throughout the entire day after running around the countryside as we always made sure to stock up on extra to go meals we could carry in our spatial storages.

Well, we got to go meals... Paimon just ate everything in one sitting.

With the Rite of Descension in naught but four more days it was time for us to check in with Ningguang as I needed to pop over to Inazuma to deliver those apparently ultra-sensitive parts over to the Resistance Army of Watatsumi Island.

"Actually, Jake I think I am going to stay here. I heard Diluc is in town delivering some wine for the Rite of Descension and frankly I don't like the idea of leaving our new house unattended for a couple days." Eula said awkwardly and I was reminded how after Eula left her clans holdings, she was homeless and needed to literally hunt for her meals as the people in Mondstadt refused to sell her anything nor could she get a place within the city until she joined the Knights of Favonius.

So, her having a home that was literally partly in her name was a huge thing for her. As it was ours with no one being able to take it from us. Well, Ningguang could try, but she wasn't stupid enough to evict a bunch of Vision wielders from their home without a very good reason.

"Uhm Eula will you be alright? Paimon is just scared that you will swear vengeance on Diluc and get in trouble!" Paimon said tactlessly and at Paimon's stupid though Eula's eyes tightened on our mascot.

"Hmph I am a noble lady and Diluc himself is a noble gentleman. So do not besmirch us or you will face my wrath!" She warned Paimon who only folded her arms over her chest as she fearlessly met Eula's face as she continued to speak. "We have no discord between the two of us and with his separation from the Knights of Favonius he is a good target to find out if Mondstadt is going to send assassins to silence us!" Eula finished and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her thought.

"I highly doubt Jean would send assassins at us." Lumine confirmed my thoughts as she spoke dryly.

Eula snorted as she cocked place a hand at her hip and pointed at me and Lumine. "Thats what you think. But the Church of Barbatos has religious warriors that silence the disbelievers of people who worship the fallen gods of Mondstadt or even foreign gods." Eula said with a frown and now that I thought about it...

With how Mondstadt was themed to be European with its architecture, culture and everything. Who is to say they couldn't have crusader knights as they were the only nation that truly worshipped the concept of Barbatos the Anemo Archon as he was so hands off. They didn't get used to him like the people in other nations did where the Archon was more hands on.

That and Rosaria was a literal assassin working in the church of Barbatos kind of confirmed her words.

"If weird nuns in fetish outfits attempt to assassinate me, I am going to have a Ruin Grader use Venti's own statue to bust down the church." I joked with Lumine and Paimon sending me shocked looks like Eula nodded proud of my thought-up vengeance.

"Anyway, Eula you got a key to the house so just make sure if you decide to drink, you do it with Yanfei as she will watch out for you." I said gently as I hugged Eula to me as this was our first time separating for more than a couple hours for like more than a whole week.

"Hmm..." She muttered softly into my chest as her arms tightened around me in a sweet hug before she separated from me with a slight blush as she pointed at me dramatically. "You all be careful and don't you dare aggravate the Raiden Shogun or something equally insane Jake!" Eula especially warned me, bringing a wry smile to my face.

I mean I didn't look for trouble it always found me first...

"Come on Jake lets go meet all those Adepti!" Paimon cheered dancing in the air as she was raring to go and with a glance to Lumine who also gave Eula a silent hug she took my hands we left the property's front porch and upon boarding my Anemo Hypostasis we flew towards the back of Liyue or more specifically the top of Mt Tianheng where we were slated to meet the Adeptus and Ningguang who were going to hand the stuff to me.

As we flew over there, my eyes tightened as I saw a massive regal crane standing beside Ningguang with some boxes covered in glowing seals, and thus I knew who the adeptus we would be working with.

The only mother to survive raising children in Genshin Impact and didn't literally flee the nation she left her kid in, like what Alice did to her daughter Klee. The Adeptus and adoptive mother of both Ganyu and Shenhe, Cloud Retainer.
