It only took a couple minutes for Lisa to unseal the barrier around the Lion Temple allowing us finally to enter.
I gaped at the sight of the weird buildings surrounding us and the clearly spatial manipulated space as it was albeit stormy outside, here within the domain the sky was a weird off-green mist that seemed to be constantly moving.
"So, are you from the Sneznayah noble family or something?" Lisa questioned offhanded and I realized how my all-white clothes and saber-style sword would fit so well in Sneznahya's old Russian style culture they had back when they had Emperor's and forms of Royalty.
Which... With me literally having Schnee DNA definitely qualified honestly except for the fact that I didn't have Aura and thus the Schnee semblance.
"No, I am certainly not from Snezhnaya... I have a strong disdain for the Fatui to put lightly, for their actions." I said firmly as we walked across a large, dilapidated bridge and went inside one of the surrounding buildings.
Lisa simply hummed in thought as we walked through the broken-down buildings and as we came to a turn, we could hear the muffled slaps and thuds as a group of fire slimes were randomly jumping around a bonfire.
Wordlessly I stabbed my saber towards the slimes and a powerful gust of wind collected all the of the slimes together along with the burning debris and Lisa matched my action by creating a half dozen balls of lightning that repeatedly sent electro energy into the ball of wind carrying the crowd of burning slimes and when the electro and pyro energies met the fire seemed to fuel the lightning to new heights destroying the dozen or so slimes in a couple moments.
"Lisa, I had a question as the only vision holder I have worked with was another Anemo user, Do adventures or just people in general prefer to team up with people with compatible elements or does it just not really matter honestly?" I asked wondering about the treatment I would receive within the adventure's guild as we hadn't really had a chance to do any guild commissions with how Dvalin instantly attacked Mondstadt.
"Hmm well, cutie that's a good question," Lisa said in appreciation after we picked the room clean of the condensed slime's remains as well as emptied a few rotting chests for the mora and magical crystals within. "Anemo, Geo, and along with Hydro users are typically focused on a more supportive focus during battle which will lead to the more aggressive elemental users like Pyro and Electro being focused on offense as we have by far the stronger offensive power and certainly can't make physical or elemental barriers like a Geo or heal like a Anemo or Hydro vision wielder."
Lisa explained and I understood what she was aiming at, as rather than focusing on elemental reactions, most adventurer teams were focused on group compatibility rather than being too focused on one side of combat over the other.
"Though I will say this... Fighting several Geo users constantly stacking shields atop one another is just not fair at all." Lisa pouted as she began mumbling about stupid geo shields.
I and Lisa made good progress through the Lion's temple, and I got to enjoy the opportunity of jumping into a void only to be caught by some nebulous 'wind current' running up from the endless bottom beneath us that Lisa noticed and had us ride up to the higher levels of the buildings to get to the Davlin's power source.
But as we were floating over a chasm on a series of weird floating platforms, we needed to hop over to Lisa asked me another question. "By the way, Jake I have been studying you and I do not see you wielding a visible Anemo Vision... Though with the snowflake on your back that is obviously a family crest, it's just surprising you aren't wielding a Cryo vision instead."
I nodded and didn't see any problem in telling Lisa the truth as I wasn't the only anomaly in being able to use elemental powers as basically all the monsters of this world were capable of it in some form even if Humans had to have a Vison to do so. "Me and Lumine just poked one of Barbatos's statues and we were given Anemo powers... Honestly, we think Barbatos may have just been drunk and forgot to mail the vision to go with the Anemo powers as we could smell Ale on the wind that brought our powers."
Lisa staggered and nearly fell between the platforms at my words, and it was only my grabbing her under her arms and across her breasts that kept her from helplessly floating into the void unless I could somehow make her fly with my Anemo powers, but I wouldn't bet on it.
"Dammit Lisa don't space out while doing a jump puzzle..." I groaned as my knees cried out in pain at the feeling of Lisa's well-proportioned body dragging me down by her obviously deadweight hanging off the edge.
I was finally able to get my feet under me and just begin scooting back as Lisa hung in my arms in mortified silence and as we stood back up Lisa awkwardly rubbed her chest giving me an embarrassed smile.
"Well, that was awkward Hehe... I think I need to just go back to my library and enjoy the good books within as the outside world is just way too exciting Haha." She laughed out putting the awkward situation past us as we walked into the solitary tower supposedly holding a piece of Dvalin's power.
As we walked into the final chamber holding the source of the dragon's power, in the back center of the chamber flanked by two burning torches was a large green glowing crystal radiating Anemo energy showing the obvious target of destruction. "Jake allow me to destroy it. We don't know how you using Anemo energy on it will affect anything."
With how the crystal was larger than my chest, I nodded as the villain hand guide clearly stated not to mess with an energy field larger than your head, and should that crystal just steal my ability to wield Anemo energy, who could I go cry to? Venti/Barbatos, no he would just drunkenly laugh and maybe offer a poem in consolation.
"Go on ahead." I offered and Lisa made quick work of the crystal with a couple of lightning bolts that made the crystal shatter into dozens of green pieces.
"Haa, the thought of getting home, putting up my feet, and relaxing has me all fired up." Lisa groaned stretching lightly as the grimoire she was using to cast her lightning bolts disappeared into her own spatial pouch.
I nodded to her sentiment and after sharing the contents of a much nicer chest Lisa leaned up against the chest as we decided to take a small break before we headed back to Mondstadt.
"So, Jake would you like to hear about the history of Mondstadt and especially about Stormterror?" Lisa asked quietly as she sank down to sit beside me on the floor putting our backs against the chest
