It's just the starting of a new day, seems like the sun is shining more brightly today, the rays of light falling into Mr. Marco's little cage disturbs his sleep making him uncomfortable. He stretches his furry arm, tries to wake up by showing his usual gestures as if he was doing some intense Yoga. After days of terrible rain finally it's sunny today. The view from my balcony was exceptional, the sea and the sky were looking so beautiful as if they were two beauties competing for others attention. The sea was so calm and the sky had no more dark clouds it was all blue with the light rays passing through the white fluffy clouds. It's just me and Mr. Marco in our cute little cottage and I am Kelly and it's my story. As the rains have stopped and the vacations are nearly over its time to get back to college. Getting back is not that much easy for me as my parents passed away a month ago. It was a terrible accident and I lost both of them and from that day onwards it was just me and Marco. My aunt keeps a check on me as she is the one who is in charge of my studies and she is as confused as I am, but still we get along. She is sweeter than sugar and a wonderful lady. Standing here in my balcony with my usual cup of coffee I wonder how fast time change. Two months ago, we were all together and now it's just me.
Aunt Lilly bought me new clothes as I have to start attending my classes or else, I would miss the whole semester. It's not that I do not have any dresses but it's just her way of showing her care towards me, buying cute dresses, making desserts and my favorite is her fantasy stories. Her stories always had this cute princess who would fall in love with a handsome prince and then they would fight for their love and live happily ever after. Maybe because of her stories I always dream of my prince charming who would appear into my life and take away all my loneliness. It's my second semester in college and here I am getting ready for my first day. I hope nobody looks me with pitiful eyes, as I don't have any interest in responding to their questions. I wore the new clothes Lilly bought for me and I must say her taste in clothes is just remarkable, it fits me so perfectly...after admiring myself in the mirror for two minutes I took off with my things and kissed Marco goodbye, Lilly wished me luck and I hugged her in return and thanked her for this dress. It is a perfect day, there were tourists enjoying the beauty of the sea, street vendors opened their shops as it was a busy day, Mrs. Carter was watering her plants and her flower shop was open, she was removing the weeds and plucking flowers for her bouquets. She stopped watering and asked me if I was okay and enquired whether I would come for work. I worked at Mrs. Carter's shop after my college hours, she is a very witty lady and I loved to spend time with her. College is just a few blocks away and as usual I reached there on time and moved towards the library. For me books are always my only friends, it took me to places that I wished to go someday, sometimes I would be so indulged in literature such that I would imagine myself in those fantasy lands, wearing gorgeous dresses and looking prettier than any of the girls I know, waiting for my charming prince and to fall in love. All of these thoughts fill my imagination when I am in the library, but every new book that I encounter makes me experience the true sides of life, even hesitatingly I accept the fact that life is not as that in the romantic fantasy books that I read, and is more complicated, and the truth is always hard to accept. You have to feel the pain and make a way out by yourself, that's what life is all about.
