Confused knights could only bow their heads and leave for the kitchen.
The rest of the knights dragged the mercenaries to the basement.
"I never knew that her majesty had such a strong aura." one of them muttered as he walked dazedly.
"Even his majesty was stunned. Where did we stand then?" another laughed, his eyes still filled with awe.
Chris could still hear them. His eyes could not look away from the woman he had thought was nothing but a burden.
The way she held her, held the power and commanded the knights flickered something deep down.
But it was already late. He had lost her.
"Lucy, come here." The boy looked reluctant. He stared at Chris with a frown before dragging him towards his father.
"What is it?" The voice was so cold that Chris frowned.
"What happened there? Why did you go pale when you heard the date?" there was no denying it. But he could not tell Chris that he had come from the future.
