She was about to refuse his suggestion when he laughed and then asked her leisurely as he walked to bed and sat on it.
It was indeed soft. Though it was no match to the royal furniture in the palace, it was better than he had thought for a run down inn.
"Why? Are you worried that you did not have self control?" his words were like a sharp slap on her cheeks that burnt her.
"Why would that be! Of course, I did not mind sharing the bed!" She huffed and hardly hid her glaring eyes as she looked at him menacingly before walking on the side and sat on the bed too.
Now what! The room went into a stale silence. They both had their backs on each other.
Though they claimed that they could share the bed. But.. It had been years since they had shared the room with someone else, much less their bed.
"Good night then!"
"Yes, good night!" The awkward conversation ended right there.
But when they laid on the bed, the mood turned more awkward.
