All three of them stared at Kath when she hugged the couple and then the elderly woman and was exchanging a few pleasantries.
"Mother is really going to leave us this time." started Luci with a sad voice as he elbowed his brother.
Chris turned to look at them when Len scoffed. "I do not understand why she would not? She had never been treated well in the palace. Not only father but I and you have misbehaved with her too." he said in a serious voice but did not look at his father who looked back at Kath feeling the guilt rising in his chest.
She never came to him and he believed that she was cold/guilty or did not care at all.
But in recent days when he had come to know more about her, he realized that he was so wrong. He was ready to apologize, get punishment but had it already been too late? Could he not get another chance even if was ready to do anything?
The thought irked him and he wanted to beat someone again but he could only close his eyes.
