One year ago, in Bast's private quarters in the nameless inn where he had rested for a day, Arthur sat in her tender embrace.
Both were saddened by each other's backstory. After talking about Lancelot's execution and the lifeless replies he would get from everyone around him, Bast told Arthur about the children she had lost to the kingdom.
"A few years ago, I refused to look at the truth. Danr was maybe five years old by then, and in an explosive tantrum, he wounded Hampter. It wasn't much of a wound, just a bruise and a small burn... But my little girl... She's a little older than him and, something shut off in her mind a few days later. It was the day she learned that by making her brother overreact, the royal guards took him away from us, and she lost her marbles."
