Chapter 97 - Oddity

The fourth day of travel. No boredom on the horizon, but the days were long and gradually starting to look the more similar.

Arthur, having already mastered dark magic, tried his hand at light magic. Unlike the mages in his kingdom, he could use much more powerful emotions like boosters. He thought he had seen a few light magicules around him, but was making little progress on the subject.

On the other hand, he was beginning to understand the mechanics of runes.

He understood the shapes on the runes. They seemed so complex at first that their logic was laughable. The aim was to make circles that intertwined without ever interrupting each other. The rule was that you could twist the circles in three dimensions to give them volume. He could multiply the number of runes on a beastcore effortlessly.

Despite having been told not to practice fire magic because it devoured the air, Melite always allowed herself to play with a little spark.
