Chapter 94 - The compass

Still shaken by events, the five of them headed off at high speed towards the next town. It was no longer a question of their mount's stamina but theirs.

"Three days is more than enough time to reach the port. You won't have to worry." Aleks said.

But Arthur disagreed. He had cowardly abandoned his most faithful companion and was wondering about the man's chances of survival.

He was a mage who was often in bad shape after the slightest effort. Someone who saved his breath. Scorn was tired of hearing Arthur's thoughts swirl around this concern and interrupted him.

"You shouldn't even doubt his abilities. I'm sure he'll reach the port before we do, he can fly on his own. I remind you that I know the kid well, I've seen him grow up."

The age difference between the thousand-year-old dragon and the omnimancer, who was already several centuries old made Arthur shudder but reassured him nonetheless.
