Time stretched to a distorted state Arthur knew too well. The five minutes of magic felt like an hour for the witnesses and the patient.

The omnimancer commented during the operation after casting a hush spell over Melite's face. "I am pushing my mana inside farther and farther with each pulsation. I'm creating the main channels so her mana can circulate in her body along with her blood. She is currently suffering from multiple microscopic bruises caused by dark magicules. Her blood is out of her veins and so will be her magicules. They'll soon accumulate with her will composing it and make what you call a mana pool."

Arthur had read it in the books of the House of Mages, the mana pool depended on the mageroot. The one he had inherited from Uther was ancient but had no weakness, it was the opposite. It had been well-fed with a sane body for centuries and was used for millions of spells.
