Chapter 125 - Mourning at last

Dawn was approaching but it was still dark. A few drops of rain fell to the ground, marking the start of a tropical storm. A mix of cold rising air and increasing humidity mixed with the hot air from the volcano surrounding the camp. Aleks was silently preparing for the beast's arrival, a foreign ally he intended to use to his advantage.

Every little dark circle that formed on the ground mingled with new ones, melting into the ground in a minute. The smell of wet earth had barely reached Aleks when he heard a commotion in the distance.

A flash of purple lightning split the sky above them and the rain intensified. An extremely rare phenomenon took place before everyone's very eyes, yet hidden in broad daylight.
