Arthur had just finished fiddling with the third necklace when the enslaved man started to get agitated.

"Come on, you saw the others didn't die, why not you?" He said in an attempt to reassure him, but his mood was going from bad to worse.

He did as he had done with the others, dragging him towards the exit of the cave. It was like an invisible wall for them, he told himself. 

The three men chosen by the miners would restore the order and he could leave to join Beli quickly.

"No! I've changed my mind! Let me rot in this hole for the rest of my life!" The rainfolk began to howl. 

"It's no longer your choice." Arthur said, throwing the skinny man through the gate. 

Again panic overcame the miner, who rolled around in the dirt, screaming. This time he was unable to calm himself as a thud sounded beneath his jawline.
