Chapter 110 - Evading the camp

"What do you suggest?" Arthur asked Seisyll. He already knew the answer; he was beginning to understand perfectly the logic that made the omnimancer's mind work.

"Let's make the most of it!" Seisyll whispered in a hurry. He was comparing the amount of steps necessary for the guard to get here with the amount of mana he would waste waiting for him.

"Timer is on." Seisyll said seriously.

He kicked Aleks in the thigh and, as stealthily as ever, moved towards the guard's arrival point. The noise attracted the mage, who was more intrigued than surprised by the wincing. 

Only when he saw that the prisoner was in better health than the day before did he slow his approach. But it was too late to turn back. Like a snake, Seisyll's arms entwined around his neck. Seisyll was two meters tall, and although he was skinny enough that you could see his ribs when he breathed, his strength was no less.
