The two felt doubtful because they could hear no noise caused by the disturbance from the monster's invasion. The surroundings were very peaceful which enhanced the beauty of the evening.
Many of the players would like to log in around this time just to see and appreciate the beauty of the night. Plus the very soothing BGM inside a village or town seems to touch the hearts of all the players.
Anyway, this was not what they expected upon entering this village.
The two approached the players who seemed to be happily chatting in front of the blazing bonfire.
After approaching, Lala immediately asked. "Hey, why are you here? Isn't the village in danger due to the invasion of the goblins?"
When they heard her voice they looked in their direction. What greeted them when they looked were two beauties mounting their beastmounts. They gasped and forgot to answer immediately and just stared at them for a second or two, admiring their Birdinos at that moment.
They realized that the two females were high-level players due to their beastmounts that you couldn't normally find around the village. Even their attire looks expensive. They also noticed the short cloak they were wearing. They have the logo of the famous guild.
"Rolling Judgment?" Whispered one of them.
One of them voluntarily responded to Lala's question.
"Uh, the monster's invasion? It's over. The city is now free from danger, haha," laughed a human race player with a bow hanging behind him.
Lala and Melly looked at each other; both frowned and were doubtful at what they heard.
Lala looked back at the novice player. "What do you mean? How did it end?" Lala asked.
"A mysterious player in black armor suddenly came and slew all the goblins alone."
"A single player defeated all the goblins?!" Melly asked with a hint of doubt in her voice.
"That's right."
"What's the name of this player?" Lala was the next to ask.
"His na—"
"Hey! You guys! Here are the war profits from the village chief!"
The player was interrupted by a sudden call.
The group looked and saw some players pulling makeshift trolleys. Each trolley contains food and beverages.
Lala and Melly saw the player in the lead. He had a discrete attire. He was wearing iron armor while the others were wearing leather armor only, so it was easy to distinguish that he was a better player than the rest.
When the archer noticed those guys, he called out.
"Hey, Vince! We have guests here! They are asking about the invasion."
When Vince saw Lala and Melly, he immediately recognized which guild they belonged to.
Vince left the trolley and jogged towards them.
"You're from the Rolling Judgement, right?"
The two nodded in silence.
"My name is Tactician Vince, but just call me Vince for short. I was the one who messaged your guild, asking for assistance," Vince said with his thumb pointing to himself and one eye closed.
"You're the informant?" Asked Lala.
"Yes."
"I see. Can you tell us about the invasion?"
"Sure."
Vince then summarized what happened.
"After he killed all the Goblins and Hobgoblins, we thought that was the end of the battle. But, another group of Hobgoblins appeared and they were led by a gigantic monster. However, that person was so badass. He didn't run. He slaughtered them all without sparing a single one. His duel against the gigantic monster was the most epic battle I had seen since I logged in to this game.
Yet, in the end, he still won.
He slew it. He slew the One-Eyed Troll."
"Unbelievable…" the two muttered after hearing it.
"Right?" Said Vince.
"You said One-Eyed Troll?" Lala suddenly asked and Vince nodded in response to her question.
"Yes."
Lala and Melly knitted their brows. "Lala, is that a mini-boss tier monster you mentioned a while ago?" Melly asked.
"It is," Lala replied to her.
"I see. As expected of Lala," Melly said, showing a proud smile for her friend.
As they were still heading to the village, Lala mentioned that a mini-boss would appear because of the number of mobs that showed up in the village.
"Hmm… a mini-boss… I see so that's why it's so strong. But that person is far stronger," said Vince while touching his chin as if pondering.
The two girls fell silent. Then Lala shifted her gaze to Melly.
"Hey, Melly, can you fight a mini-boss tier alone in your current power?"
"Aha-ha…" Melly laughed, but it sounded forced. "I can fight, but I don't think I can win even with all Epic-tier equipment," Melly replied honestly while having a wry smile.
"I guess so. Then that person might have been wearing super tier items."
"I would personally agree with you because he was truly donned in a magnificent glossy jet black armor, but I don't think that was the only reason for his strength," Vince told them.
"What do you mean? Did he have a strong familiar or a beastmount with him?"
"No. But. He's good at parrying and blocking his enemy's attacks. He also had an inhuman level of timing. He had good precision as well. However, as I thought, for me, the most shocking thing about him is his ability to wield different types of weapons!"
The two girls blinked their eyes. It seemed like the words they heard weren't immediately processed in their brains.
After a couple of seconds of silence, the two finally snapped.
"What? Ability to wield different kinds of weapons?" Lala and Melly asked the same thing at the same time.
Vince was slightly taken aback.
"Y-Yes! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I also wouldn't have believed it," he said with a bead of sweat at the back of his head.
"Unbelievable!"
"R-right?"
"By the way, did you get his name?"
"Sorry. I didn't because he left right after collecting all the drop items. But, most players here call him Black Knight because of the title he was carrying," Vince pointed to the title floating above him when he mentioned it.
Lala and Melly felt curious about this player known as Black Knight.
"Just who exactly is he…" Lala mumbled.
After talking with Vince, Melly asked Lala what they would do now since it seems the invasion was already solved.
"For now, let me contact Elder Graysha."
"Lala, Elder Graysha is currently offline."
"Is that so? Then pardon me, I'll be right back in a minute."
"Okay, ciao."
"Ciao."
