'Elijah,'
The way my name rolled off her tongue sent me to paradise. I closed my eyes and savored the moment. It was a pleasant feeling to be recognized by Winter.
I cannot explain why I was feeling this way. But I was almost like floating in the in-between out of pure bliss.
However, that bliss was also cut short when something snapped me back to attention.
"Elijah," a distinct voice called out. I blinked and thought I was seeing things. But to my dismay, Winter had disappeared before me.
When I focused on where I was, I frowned.
The same white place where I first landed upon dying was where I was sent next. And standing before me was other than Nichen. As always, he didn't look pleased to see me.
Neither did I appreciate seeing him again. But for the sake of fulfilling my duty as Nirvana's chosen, I had to swallow my annoyance.
