In my opinion, that was a dangerous phrase to say. Especially when it came from someone like Elise.
I had absent-mindedly named her using Winter's name in here. But the intent had been to give her the name of the woman who sacrificed her life to save someone else.
But now, it was haunting me. Her words echoed in my ears, like a piece of music put on repeat.
Before I could think of something appropriate to say, someone else joined us in the room. Toko poked his head and gestured outside.
"It's over. But you might need to step in."
I let out a tired sigh, catching Elise's gaze.
"We need to talk later."
"Sure," Elise replied enthusiastically. She bounced off the bed, not bothered by what she had said, unlike me.
I watched her skip past Toko, who smiled her way. I leaped out afterward, sighing as I drag my feet forward.
